I did not ask my friend today but the gas in FL has been cheaper than here. It's 3.05 at most places here now. I think VA and NC were under 3 too.

Kitty--you need a bf on your side while you can enjoy a baby. You can certainly get a lot of advice here...

I guess I need to stop complaining about gas prices. Poor Pat does love his gas too! I had to put his snowman topper on. His ornament lost an ear...I didn't want to give him his new tree one yet. Saving it for next year.

Mom and I decided not to go to her sister's funeral. Maybe I should start a thread about it and see bhow much I get flamed. Her daughter never called any of her sisters and told them she had gone to the hospital and Hospice. It's at least a 5 hr drive and we could not do that in a day with the service being at 11. They live neat the Blue Ridge Parkway and the weahter is iffy for Tue. So we are not going. They wanted money instead of flowers because she only had a 500 insurance policy. They do not seem to care so we are not going.

Wait---I know YOU won't fill it up in Jersey...you will drive around until you find the cutest attendant and HE will put that gas in the Kittymobile.

oh M...i'm so sorry for your loss. How is your mom doing? I think you made the right decision, especially if the weather is iffy. Maybe you and Mom can make plans in the spring to go visit if she's being buried? You can always stop in a church nearby and just say a prayer or light a candle in her honor.

That's is so thoughtful Pike! Walter is pretty good, except I think yet another tooth is coming through, so he has this short bursts of yelling and crying and grabbing at his mouth that nothing seems to help. Then after a minute or two, mama's arms seem to do the trick!

Mom's ok with it. This sister was 2-3 yrs older than mom. She never seemed as close to her as the others. Mom has 4 other sisters that are younger than mom. We certainly know she is in a better place.

Poor Walter...why do those teeth have to hurt so much? I guess telling him that when these fall out the tooth fairy will leave him a treat will not help at this time.
