Not much going on around here. Our kitty that was sick is much, much better now. In fact, he's pretty much a bad-*** tormenting the bigger kitties. They are only allowed to sleep if he is. And when he is ready to play, he will jump on them until they wake up.

Marie....I was glad to help. As I said, my younger cousin is coming to visit in December, so I've been doing research on what a tourist should do in NYC. If there are any other questions, please let me know.

JO--glad to hear baby kitty is doing well! Its gotten colder, so all the pet beds have come out. All of my babies are fighting over who gets which bed, which is very funny.

My head is still spinning from all the FB'ing last night. It was crazy!

Yes indeed Ev! Our trip is getting closer and I am so ready! Apparently everyone else is too. I don't think I have ever seen my DH or DS so excited. I guess that's what missing a year will do for you.

Kitty, the only info I had to give my niece was very foggy. I have only been to NY once and it was way back in 1976. The only reason I remember when is because we arrived on 4th of July on the centennial year so it was a big deal. Lots of fireworks and that really big apple rising up in the sky. I do remember seeing the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall..... and some prostitutes and their wild looking pimp. Aside from that about all I remember is how you could find just about anything you could possibly need within a few blocks, how scared I was riding the subways and thinking how crazy it was to have been a teenager walking across town in the middle of the night.
OMG! The Rocky Horror Picture Show is still floating around out there? When I was a teenager, my friends and I went through fazes of going to see it every now and then. What was my mother thinking? Not exactly what I would encourage my kids to watch. Every time I see Tim Curry in a movie now I still have to snicker a little as a little image of him in his "costume" plays through my brain.

We're having some wild weather here today. They're calling it a "land hurricane" because we have winds up to 70mph, thunderstorms, side ways rain, and even a tornado in southeast WI. Ripped the roof right off a factory where employees were working and watched it come off. Holy Cow!!!
Kids were totally freaked out this morning and the schools even toyed w/ calling off school - but didn't .

The rain has stopped but, as I type my screen is shaking as the whole house is rattling with these wind gusts. My siding isn't even a month old and I have to worry its going to come ripping off again. What's with the weather this year?

Another day of waiting for the Moms Panel here. Good or bad news, I just want to know at this point...

Marie...Times Square is really different from when you were there! In fact, its a little too commercial in my opinion. Tell Niece to go to the ToysRUs store there and ride the giant ferris wheel there! We always like to go to Madame Tussauds too...its a good laugh.
