We haven't been since the Magic Your Way Tickets started so please help me understand them (I know it's kinda sad I blame it on my cold medicine :)

Here's the deal: We are thinking of going to WDW for 3 nights and want to go to the parks for 2 days. We will be booking the "ticket upgrade" package. Let's say we arrive on a Monday but want to go to the parks on Tues. and Weds. Can this be done?

I called and talked to a CM and got even more confused. I read that the tickets expire 14 days after the first use. But the CM kept saying they are "active" once we check in. So does that mean day 1 and day 2 would be Monday and Tues.? Or are they only "used" once we enter a park?

I know you all will know the answer...TIA

The room keys are active tickets when the desk clerk hands them to you at check in, that means they are ready to use. You don't have to do anything else such go to Guest Relations just outside the park before you put one in the park turnstile.

Contrasted with annual passes ordered by mail in advance where you get a voucher instead of the ticket itself.

The 14 day usage span of a package ticket starts when you first insert the room key into a park turnstile.
