When you purchase it. But the expiration is usually a year from the following month. My friend bought one on 10/18/08, the expiration is 11/30/2009.

When you buy the card the CM will tell you what the expiration date will be. The transition date to the following month expiration is usually about the 6th or 7th of the month; i.e. if you buy on Nov. 6 or 7, the card will expire Dec. 31 of the following year. If you buy earlier in Nov. if would expire Nov. 30 of the following year.

Yes, I bought my card on 20 November 2008 and it expires 31 December 2009.
