TIW question regarding payment

When we went last year with extended family, I just charged the meals to my room and then my mom paid their portion at the Resort against our balance.

This is a good workaround.

We went in Jan and Feb and I am the AP with TIW. My dad took DH, DS, and I on this trip and we notified the server when we sat of having TIW and asked if they were ok with my dad paying. He did explain the trip was his gift to us in his jovial way. Not one server said no, but it was easy to ask up front. I always have gift cards, and a MB just as back up if needed. Another vote for...it has never mattered. We are TIW holders for a few years. In my name only. My husband has used it before when I was sick and couldn't go to dinner. He has paid with his credit card without a problem when I was there. And we have split the check with other non card holders without a problem. This is across a variety of restaurants. Of course as others have said, that could Change at any time.
