OMG.. this not going to be easy.. I have my future son in law in lock down trying to figure the thing out.. we are now calling Sony.. Yikes.. I hate these difficult electronic things..

Did you get it working, Marsha? I finally gave up and had some guy come out and install it for me. Too many wires and cables for me. But now that it's working, I really like it....

Steve, I called where I bought it. They will come and do whatever. In the meantime I am pretending I do not have it.. LOL..

Oh Steve. I so understand. when I have my computer problems.. cuz we all know I am a computer dud, it is everything I can do from picking the whole thing up and flinging it out the window..hence I am pretending there is no Tivo in my house. No way do I see it sitting there with all those wires hanging out.. Nope..

Just think marsha...I am going to open up the back of my TIVO and upgrade to larger Hard Drives...so it will record up to 150 hours instead of 30

Good luck with the upgrade. Oh, Hawaii. I'm jealous. It's hard to drive there. Isn't there a pretty big mall near you????

Are we doing a road trip to Patrick's now..Do not tempt me... you know the song me and my shadow strolling down the avenue (very old song, lots older than me) it could me and my Tivo going to Minnesota.. LOLOL.. I am losing it.

'Scuse my ignorance. I can upgrade my TIVO to 150 hours? How? When? WhoWhatWhereWhen? I can be pretty geeky myself, but I hadn't heard this one. Is there a web site? What is the meaning of the universe? Seen any good movies lately? Why is the sky blue?

There are several places on the web the advertise upgrading Tivo boxes with larger hard drives in order to extend recording time. The website www.digitalrecorder.tv has a 120Gbyte add on hard drive that adds 152 hours of recording time to a 14, 20, or 30 hour Tivo. The cost is $420 and it is self installed. I just picked one of the sites at random to give you an idea of the costs involved.

if you do it your self..you can do it for aroun the cost of the HD's..the software and instructions are fairly easily explainable if you know the insides of your computer.
