I can see that the first Tivo is $12.99. Is there a discount for multiple Tivos?

Thanks,

Dawn

It's $9.95. We have a lifetime on our first and our 2nd is $9.95 per month. Used to be $6.95 but we lost that grandfathered in price when our oldest Tivo died.:sad1:

Not to change the subject, but when our tivo died a few years ago we bought a replacement hard drive. My DH installed in in less than 15 minutes. This way we maintained our lifetime subscription, which is worth it's weight in gold!

Actually it was our lifetime TIVO that died, we swapped the hard drives so that we could keep the lifetime running and gave up on the one we were paying monthly! Great minds think alike! :thumbsup2

We did the same and got another 3-4 years out of our TiVo. It did eventually die though. :sad1: No more TiVo for us until DirecTV comes out with their new TiVo boxes (and DirecTV's regular DVRs stink compared to the TiVo).

For refurbished TiVo stuff (and new as well, I think) - try www.weaknees.com .

That's where we got our hard drive! It's hard to forget a name like that!!:rotfl:

Our tivo unit is about 10+ years old and still going strong. That $200 lifetime subscription was the best bargain I ever got.

The last time I looked up lifetime it was like $400 extra.

Our hesitation with Tivo is this. We currently have Directv. We are considering going to OTA only and getting Tivo. If we want cable, we could add it, but we can't go back to DTV if we go this route, so I would hate to buy the Tivo and then be stuck with cable as my only option if we don't like OTA.

The new DTV Tivos won't work with OTA will they? Aren't they specially designed for DTV?

We currently have DTV and 3 DVRs. I hate live TV and we have a larger size house, so only one Tivo would drive me crazy.

The new DirecTV TiVos aren't out yet, so I don't know what they work with. But you might try to check out the link I posted above - they have a blog and a number of different articles and just overall good information on all the different boxes (not just TiVo) that might help you. They may also have info on the new TiVos for DirecTV as well.
