Titanic Museum Photos

Wow thats neat. We saw a Titanic display in Seattle a few years ago. And I thought THAT was cool. This looks so much cooler!

That is really amazing... I had never even heard of this place until you posted pictures(which were great by the way, thanks for sharing).

That place looks very cool, my mom would love that as she is into the history of the titanic. Maybe well check it out one day.

wow, i've always been totally interested in the titanic (i even had a computer game at one point where you had to be a passenger and you had to solve some crime).

I had that game, too! I spent a lot of time just wandering around in the game exploring the ship, and parts of the museum really brought those memories back!

According to the website/brochure/etc, you *are* supposed to get a boarding pass with a name when you enter, but we didn't get one. I'm not sure if it's because they just opened, or because we only paid half price since we're local, or maybe they just didn't like us ;).

I don't think I mentioned it in the original post, but the guy "playing" the Capitan has actually been down to see the Titanic wreckage- one of only about 200 people in the world who have! It was really neat to listen to his stories.

What's the game? Where did you get it? Sounds like it's right up my alley!

I saw the Titanic Exhibit in Orlando. It was very cool! Well worth the drive off property.

Titanic has been playing on HBO the past several weeks. I couldn't help myself, I watched it 3 times. The last one I tivo'd it and I'm keeping it awhile. I only have the movie on vhs, not a dvd yet. Hint hint DSis and Dh I know you guys are lurking! :teeth:

Very interesting! Those beds really do look short!!! I'd love to visit that museum - it fascinates me!

Titanic has alway been a big interest of mine. I love reseaching into it. I have to make DH take us there to see this. Thanks for sharing.

that's the game. it was awesome!

I saw the Titanic exhibit when it came to Dallas several years ago. It was quite impressive. :thumbsup2

That's cool that you were able to take pictures. I saw an exhibit in Vegas but they were very strict about NO PICTURES! It was everywhere. They patroled everywhere to be sure. We weren't even allowed to have our cell phones on buzz. We had to show they were off. I'd love to see the exhibit you went too!!

Didn't they move the exhibit in the last year or so from its previous location? Do they still give you a ticket upon boarding, then at the end tell you the outcome of that particular passenger?

I saw the exhibit here in Philly. They did give everyone a "boarding pass" with a passenger's name. My 2nd class lady survived, and lived well into her 80's.

It was a great exhibit!

Great pics thanks for sharing!! I've always had an interest in the Titanic, we saw an exhibit when it came to Nashville, we all really enjoyed it. My third class passenger didn't make it. I need to make it a point to see the Exhibit in Orlando next time we head to WDW, just always in such a hurry to see Mickey.

I've had almost a lifelong fascination with Titanic. The best site on the web, and I'm talking the BEST is:

http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/

They list everything known about every passenger. Down to what was on the body of those recovered from the water. Many pics are posted too. They didn't have pics of all passengers, but they have them of quite a few. I just can't say enough about the site.

I've always wanted to visit the museum when we've been in Orlando, but just haven't been able to squeeze it in yet.

Thanks for the great website, very interesting reading. :thumbsup2

thanks so much for sharing... that looks amazing!

Too bad it's over 10 hours from here. We may have to try to plan a trip there one day.

I'm Jealous. That looks MUCH Better than the display of Titanic artifacts they had here in St. Pete. Still, the stuff holds a special place in my heart. I'm Fascinated with it. Glad you were able to go.
