Tis the Season for Shipping Frustration

I ordered something from American Girl 1 week ago and they still haven't listed it as shipped. It's very annoying!
 
I'm a little worried about a package I have coming. The last tracking info says it was picked up from vendor on December 12th...and that is it. No update since then. :headache:
 
I ordered from Lia Sophia before they went out of business (nov. 29). My order is still awaiting fulfillment. I bought necklaces for both kid's teachers (school is over Friday), both of my EAs (again, need for Friday), plus my dd's dance teachers (needed for last Sunday). I am ridiculously mad!

I read on another thread that Lia Sophia is not fulfilling all of the orders placed before they announced that they were closing. Have you called them to check whether yours will be fulfilled?

This isn't a Christmas gift, but DH ordered 2 PS4 games from Best Buy on Thanksgiving (or Black Friday, maybe - it was one of their sales) and they arrived yesterday. That's a LONG time, IMO, for 2 games we could have driven there and picked up in a half hour. We didn't want to go out shopping on those days but maybe we should have...
 
Amazon issue:

I ordered a razor for my husband. Tracking says it will arrive today. They already charged me for it but then I got a credit on my MC for the price of the razor. At first I thought maybe they cancelled the order, but they said it is coming today. So I don't know. :confused3

Then I ordered 2 light sabers for the grandsons. My MIL gave me money to get them something. I was concerned about getting them on time. When ordering I saw a message about a month of free prime. So i signed up thinking it was free and got 2 day shipping. Tracking says they will arrive today, so yay for that. But I got charged $99 for the prime membership. I emailed Amazon and the rep cancelled my membership and refunded me $91. The site says if you cancel after using it they will adjust, but I thought maybe they would change it to free for a month. Guess not. Oh well.:rolleyes:
 

Still waiting on my $350 in Dis GC from Target. Ordered Nov 29th, one shipment arrived, other is still showing that it was transferred to local PO on Dec 4th. Called Target for the 2nd time on Tuesday and they said I have to wait til the 18th. My mail is usually delivered around noon. If the GC are not here, I will be fighting for my refund. Ds bday is tomorrow and this is part of his gift.

Well, all the items arrived in the same box! Somehow they must have cross referenced my 2 orders and combined them. So I am happy. I got everything. And, they refunded the full amount of the prime membership, not a partial refund.

I just now placed a Kohl's order which states it will arrive by Dec. 24th. We'll see. I don't need any of it by then so whatever.
 
My Diamond Candle order says it will be here on the 23rd. I won't be too sad if it doesn't get here on that day though. Supposed to be my hostess gift for Christmas dinner, but alas, if it comes late, I shall have to keep it.
:cool1: :rotfl2: (I did order a candle for me and my mom - the hostess - but now I want both, LOL. The only way I will keep both is if they come after Christmas though.)

I am expecting 2 deliveries today - I think Champs Sporting Goods and Lids. My son is going to have a happy "Miami Heat, Portland Trailblazers, and Seattle Seahawks" Christmas.

I have the same problem. I called Target yesterday and they finally escalated my problem and gave me a ticket number. They told me to call back twice *and* never made any notes on my order. I would call them back and have them escalate it for you. They are just stonewalling you.
 
I posted this on a separate thread--sorry. I ordered a Curl Genius from Sally's and got shipping notification 5 days later. I've been waiting for it since, and finally called this morning to be told they never had it when I ordered it (Nove 29). Um....so why was it listed as shipped 5 days later on Dec 4 and why did I not receive any notification except to confirm?? This was to be my dd's main Christmas present. It was a smashing deal at $53 and I'm angry that all they are offering me now is 20% off the regular price of $100. It makes me very suspicious when it was listed as shipped 5 days after I'd ordered and paid for it and only now do I find out by calling that they never had it.
 
I placed a $450 order to amazon today, with Prime shipping, and I've already gotten an email that two of my items have shipped and will arrive tomorrow.

Anyone having issues with Walmart 1-hr Black Friday Guarantee? I ordered 2 ipad minis and there are said to be delivered "on Dec 24th or before".

So far, nothing. I'm getting worried.
 
I do 90% of my shopping online year round.Shipping has been slower during the holiday.

Amazon - love the $1 credit for Prime customers if you don't take 2 day shipping. I have gotten $5 this season used on other gifts and still got items in under 7 days
joanns - I was disappointed in one product but the shipping was really fast

fisherprice - 14 days
oldnavy/gap - always order with free shipping one order took 3 days, one 17. I think it has to do with items in stock. They did send me two different shipments of the same sweater but only charged me for one. I am going to return it to the store
disney store - 8 days with free ship, which is about what I expect

Toys R Us. :mad: I will eventually learn my lesson with them and just pay more somewhere else. I got a 5 item order (this was early november)and two of the items were totally wrong. It took two phone calls and over 40 minutes to get a return mailing label for the wrong items. I have gotten incorrect shipments from diapers.com and in 5 minutes I had a label etc etc. It was also 15 days from the day I mailed the return until they processed it. (all still before thanksgiving)
 
Add me to the list of people frustrated by deliveries. Yesterday I had four packaged delivered, one from Fed-Ex and one from UPS from a total of four different companies.

When I left work, all four packages had the status of "delievered - left on front porch." For the record, they were delivered within an hour of each other. When I got home, the three UPS packages were there, but not the Fed-Ex. So I do not think the other package was stolen. Also the missing package had the least desirable merchandise.

The frustrating part is the Fed-Ex resolution process. They gave me a case number and it is already closed. Their follow-up consisted of supposedly calling the driver who said he left it at our house. Call me crazy, but what else is the driver going to say. So they basically said I had to contact the seller, they were done with their resolution process?????

I am angry. This is something I ordered on December 2nd and is personalized. I don't even want it anymore, let alone by the time it may finally show up!:headache:
 
Yep, Hot Topic. Ordered with 2 day shipping on Dec 7 and it wasn't shipped till yesterday. Then they only sent 1 $5.00 item and not the bedding that I ordered to redo my daughters bedroom. Per their email, the order was complete as ordered?:confused3 why would I pay shipping that cost more than an item and I have the original email of the whole order. So I go back to the website and reorder the bedding and they sent me an email that for $24.95 they would send the order 2 day delivery. No I don't think so.

I wouldn't even care except that is the only bedding I found she would like and fit the color scheme and I can't find it anywhere else.
 
After reading several of the posts on this thread I see that I am not the only one experiencing shipping issues. I ordered an item from Target. Tracking shows that UPS transferred it to USPS and that USPS delivered it yesterday. Well guess what...I didn't receive anything. Target told me to wait 3 days and then they will send me another item and expedient shipping. The mailman felt terrible that he came by and apologized and said that he will check again. I have never had this issue before so I am doing site to store when possible.

Maybe my family is just spoiled by Amazon, but we've had the hardest time this year with items arriving from other online retailers this year!

Three examples:

  1. My wife ordered pajamas from jcpenney.com. One of the items was just plain old cancelled. The other items were shipped in two shipments.

    The first shipment had a tracking number with UPS, and arrived on time.

    The second shipment (a pair of sleep pants) had a tracking number from USPS that didn't work. She she emailed jcpenney.com. After not hearing a response, she called. The first customer service rep kept saying the second package shipped. My wife kept saying that the tracking number was wrong and she wanted the right one. Eventually, she asked to speak to a supervisor, who said the tracking number was right, and we should contact USPS. Except it wasn't right. It wasn't even the right number of digits. My wife got "disconnected".

    Meanwhile, this item ended up in somebody else's package on the other side of the country. California. Fortunately, the packing ship was included with the item, and a woman emailed my wife. This wonderful woman packed up the item and shipped it herself to our house.

    So, not only did they just up and cancel one item, they shipped another item to the wrong person, which means that potentially sensitive personal information went to another person. I don't think Penney's has responded to the last email that was sent. :furious:

  2. I ordered pajamas from Walmart.com on Wednesday, December 10th. I selected standard shipping, which indicated it should have arrived yesterday, December 18th. walmart.com indicated it should take 1 - 2 business days to process and 3 - 5 to arrive. So, even allowing for "business days" only, we are looking at Monday the 22nd, right? The website said the 18th, but the 22nd would have been OK. I would understand.

    I got an email on the 14th indicating it was shipped. It took 4 days to process. not 1-2. Sure, the 14th was a Sunday, and that's not a business day, so maybe I'm being too hard, here?

    I went to track the package. It originated in Laurens, SC. On the 14th, shipment information sent to FedEx. The package did not arrive at the FedEx facility, in Atlanta, GA until the 17th. Do you see the problem? I do. Not only did it go the wrong way (South instead of North, although I guess that was the closest facility), was it going to get to my house in 24 hours? Spoilers: No.

    FedEx says it won't arrive until the 26th. As in 2 days after Christmas. For a gift I wanted for actually the 24th.

    Am I being unreasonable on this one? Obviously I should have ordered this earlier, but if the website said it would arrive in the 18th, and FedEx says the 26th, isn't that a bit late?

    Meanwhile, Amazon orders I made at the same time arrived on Saturday (as in last Saturday, the 13th!), before the Walmart package was even finished processing!

  3. My wife order items from Hot Topic on Black Friday, November 28th. I don't know the details, but I know those items either still haven't shown up, or just showed up yesterday (I probably should have asked). 20 days.
 
I definitely think we've all been spoiled by Amazon. I can't believe how often with Prime I will order and then find the shipment at my door a day later.

I really wish the other places would take notes! I ordered from Justice.com and it was absolutely the worst experience ever. They sent me order information and when I tried to track using the number, it said it didn't exist... and getting in touch with them to rectify the situation was impossible. Then, when they finally fixed the order, they sent me an email with an order number.... that didn't exist. I did finally get the package... 3 weeks later.
 
yes! Definitely spoiled by amazon.com!!

I am currently waiting on 3 packages on ONE order from kohls.com. Acc to the site, one is coming via Fed Ex, one is coming UPS and one is coming Fed Ex via USPS...lol
