I was Disney'ed out for the better part of a decade. I've actually changed my approach to Disney. Being a
Disney Store manager was a blessing and a curse. The free admission to the parks for me and my guests was great, as was the 35% discounts in the parks.
I was also a huge Disney collector. I had a "Disney Room" that was much more than frames on walls. It was a museum dedicated to all things Disney. Especially the parks. But I lost interest in all things Disney. EXCEPT for the parks. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to Disney. The last animated film I saw was Monsters Inc. in 2001. I haven't seen a single new Disney live action or animated movie since before then.
But I still love the parks. Last month I spent 4 days at DLR. That's the longest visit I've ever made to
Disneyland. Living in the Bay Area, Disneyland trips have always been either quick hops , or part of a bigger vacation. When I go to WDW, I always spend at leafs a week there, and don't do anything else in Florida.
Next month my partner and I are moving to Costa Mesa. We spent this past weekend in the OC, looking at places to live. We picked our place today. He's not a big Disney fan like me. But that's ok. We're going to live 20-mins from my favorite place in the world. He'll get a SoCal AP, and I'll have the Premium. Can't wait.
