"Tired of Disneyland"

Don't think we'll ever get tired of Disneyland after going multiple times per year for the last 15+ years. We do go to other parks and vacation spots for variety and to remind us why we like Disneyland better, though :)

YES! You are not alone. We are taking a break from Disneyland. As much as I love Disneyland, It just isn't as Magical anymore. I planned to go back for the 60th but so far I do not see anything that makes me want to book a trip.

I'm not Disney'd out and I don't think I'll ever be. At least as long as my kids are little because each trip brings something new That said, after our Nov. trip - our 4th on these APs - I think we'll be taking 2 years off to do other vacations. Or I say that now at least!

Never! Never! Never!

We enjoy it too much!!!::yes::

By the way, Tyggress, what a great attitude toward others you have---love it!!!:thumbsup2

Not yet ... but it is getting challenging to find/experience something new and unique on every visit. We too live about 70 miles away and try to visit at least once a month.

According to the disney AP website, after 10+ years of being an AP, I have racked up 216 vists

I was Disney'ed out for the better part of a decade. I've actually changed my approach to Disney. Being a Disney Store manager was a blessing and a curse. The free admission to the parks for me and my guests was great, as was the 35% discounts in the parks.

I was also a huge Disney collector. I had a "Disney Room" that was much more than frames on walls. It was a museum dedicated to all things Disney. Especially the parks. But I lost interest in all things Disney. EXCEPT for the parks. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to Disney. The last animated film I saw was Monsters Inc. in 2001. I haven't seen a single new Disney live action or animated movie since before then.

But I still love the parks. Last month I spent 4 days at DLR. That's the longest visit I've ever made to Disneyland. Living in the Bay Area, Disneyland trips have always been either quick hops , or part of a bigger vacation. When I go to WDW, I always spend at leafs a week there, and don't do anything else in Florida.

Next month my partner and I are moving to Costa Mesa. We spent this past weekend in the OC, looking at places to live. We picked our place today. He's not a big Disney fan like me. But that's ok. We're going to live 20-mins from my favorite place in the world. He'll get a SoCal AP, and I'll have the Premium. Can't wait.

If you manage a Disney Store you get into the parks for FREE?!

You just made me want to change my career path! I love working in retail and really wish I could go back to it, tbh. I work as an admin person in an engineering firm currently, for the last six and a half years.

Anyway, to answer the title question- NEVER!!!

I was in love before I even went to the parks via the research I'd done prior to the first trip. I have a great admiration for Walt Disney, the wildly successful company he created, and this wonderful theme park that Walt himself oversaw being built.

I want to see WDW again some day when I'm not 2 years old and can remember it, but something inside me says "but you could go to DISNEYLAND!", lol.

I love it and I always will. If I lived closer, I'd have an AP.

I went over 200 times over the course of just a couple years and I never got sick of it. Can't say if I would have eventually had I not gotten the heck out of CA. But I doubt it since it was the only thing I liked about living there.

Nope not yet! Been going pretty much once a year since I was old enough to remember (from AZ originally).

I've lived right next to DLR for about 8 years now (first place I lived the nightly fireworks were loud enough to set off car alarms on the street!) and now live about 2 miles away.

My wife is lucky enough to work in DTD and gets in for free so we go every few months when my AP isn't blocked out, and when relatives come into town.

We get plenty of Disney fixes outside DLR too though (cruises mostly, and an upcoming WDW trip!)

We have been going every year for 20 years and the last 4 years been AP holders going about 3 times a year. People ask us all the time if we just have the same vacation over and over again? Or don't we want to go anywhere else, see anything else, do anything else?

What they don't understand is that every time we go to Disneyland it's different. A different time of year, something different is opening or changing. Or there is an event, holiday or special celebration. Also as our son grows each year our trips are different because of what he is interested in and we plan around him and his interests for the most part.

I find that people that don't get Disney don't understand and never will. But I also agree that the more I go the more we can take it easy and enjoy ourselves. And that's one of the main reasons the trips are so relaxing for us, is that we know what to expect and know what we are going to get out of our Disney vacations.

Recently DH and DS went on a week long school trip to parks all over California. We wondered if DS (now 12) might like the big roller coasters and begin requesting we visit other theme parks as we plan future trips to Disneyland. Instead he came home more in love with Disney than ever.

We had Premium APs for 3 years and we actually did "get tired" of Disneyland. We gave up our passes in 2012 because we just barely broke even that year on the price of our pass.

I have some friends who have been going for about 3-4 years with APs that are pretty burned out on it right now and not planning to renew.

However, we went back this summer and are hooked all over again. We think we have a 2 years off then 2 years on sort of tolerance for it.
