What are your home remedies for tired feet? After a long day at WDW what tips do your recommend to relieve your tired feet?

After any long day in the parks, DH comes back to the villa and soaks his feet in his foot massage tub (we drive to the World so we can easily bring it along) with foot salts. He has diabetes so this is his nightly foot ritual. For my feet, I get him to squeeze and massage my feet until we fall sleep. Our DD has no problems with her feet, she can go all day.

Maybe you can soak your feet in the bath and get your spouse to squeeze your feet and vice versa. Make sure to take a few breaks in the park to take a load off that can help your tired feet as well too. :)

Peppermint foot lotion from The Body Shop! Massage your feet with it, it has wonderful ingredients to sooth the swelling and it feels wonderful! In my job I am on my feet A LOT, and at the end of the day my peppermint lotion is like heaven!

I will second the peppermint foot lotion!!! Instant rejuvenation! You can also buy 'foot soak' individual packs. I like to do a foot soak and then a nice peppermint foot rub!

peppermint lotion it is:bounce: also Bath and Body had a mint type foot spray this summer that was very nice as well.:)

Where is that? Can I order online from them?
Thanks,
Kimba

Yep, bought them for our trip, been wearing them for about a month. They are very comfy but I suggest getting some double sided tape to stick them down with because they do slide a bit. If you're going to get them, go the dr. scholl's website and print out a $2 off coupon!

I always like a soak in the pool. It allows your whole body to relax. That always works for all of us.

A hot bath works wonders after a long day in the parks on your feet....I like a hot bubble bath!! It also loosens tight leg muscles and is great if you have arthritis like I do in my legs anytime...:sunny:

It looks funny and smells a little medicinal but it works great. Soak your feet in warm water and then rub this in. I often wear cotton socks afterwards. In the morning your feet will be as good as new. Any sore spots will be gone and it has healing properties for blisters.

I thought I was the only one who used it for feet. Last month we had a speaker at work who has walked across the US 7 times. Guess what he uses every night...Bag Balm. The man swears by it.

I got a homedics foot spa. That thing put me to SLEEP! I used a salt foot scrub and then a peppermint lotion at the end. It was heaven.

Just checked out The Body Shop. Has anyone used the Peppermint Cooling Leg Gel?

Says it's good for legs, ankles and feet. Seems like it might be even cooler on the foot than the Peppermint Lotion. Lotion sometimes has a way of feeling "heavy" on the skin whereas gel can sometimes feel lighter.

I personally didn't like it, but I did love the foot scrub when it first came out.

Now I'm a Bath and Bodyworks girl instead.

Impossible to find, but the new cracked heel treatment is amazing - it stops your heels from getting dry and hard etc after all that walking - put it on nightly and your feet become baby soft (but no blisters)

Also try the new sandy foot scrub - it's great.... Also the foot spray. Basically I have my own Bath and Bodyworks store at home hee hee! My friend brought me a huge bag of stuff to WDW for my birthday since I love it so much.

Not to imply that anyone here is overweight, but the best thing that I did to help my feet was to lose 40 pounds.

I really was amazed at how much better my feet felt after the parks all day once I was lighter on my feet.

Not much chance of my hubby giving me a massage...he will most probably be snoring away on the other side of the room...lol.
Guess I'll have to bring my own personal foot masseur....of the plastic kind!! Ha!

Has anyone tried the wooden/plastic roller gadgets?

What are your recommendations for something small and portable that will fit in my flight luggage.

The favorite way to soothe my tired feet is to get in a hot tub. The jets feel so good on sore feet. I've read several posts here from people that are grossed out by the hot tubs, but I love them. Never been germ sensitive. I assume Disney keeps the water at safe levels.
