We ususally go in the winter so DD is used to being cool and getting on every ride without a wait. Any tips for me to deal with her and help her realize that the magic is still there even if it is crowded and there may be cranky people? Also. I am getting nervous about MK. It is ususally the most crowded anyway in my opinion. In June it must be crazy. Should we just skip it this trip. We go often and we can go next time. What do you think?

Get there before the parks open, stay till lunch, swim and nap the afternoon away, return to a non- EMH park at night :)

I would not skip the trip. We have gone a few times in August and the heat is much more tolerable than crowds, in my opinion.

Just realize that you or your daughter may be one of those hot, cranky people, too. It tends to sneak up on you, until you realize how long you've been outside in the heat. My advise would be to make it a slow-moving vacation. Lots of breaks and be able to listen to your own body.

I don't know what to tell you about the crowds. Isn't June a busy time? I would do anything to avoid crowds.

Hope this helps and have a great trip!

kids handel heat better then adults. I don't know about you all but i use to be out from sunup to sun down as a child knowI can't stand being out in the heat. There is all kinds of ice cream and drinksto get the edge of also disney store sells hand held fans for $5 I got 2 yesterday formy kidsin Sept.

We have done June and if you take it slow and have reasonable expectations (as you seem to!) you will be ok.

It will take more planning and patience but by getting to the parks at opening and using Fast Pass you could be ok. Make sure your dd picks one or two favorites each day and do your best to make sure she rides/sees them. Try not to get to frustrated yourself, I find my kids pick up on my impatience. Save the shows for later as they hold more capacity and are cooler.

Definately swim in the afternoon and return to a park that is open later for the evenings. Our typical schedule gets us to AK or MK at opening and visiting Epcot and MGM in the evenings.

One other thing we do differently during the hot more crowded times is have our bigger sit down meal for lunch, usually late lunch. This way we get a break and can eat and cool off when the heat and crowds are at the worst. Then its counter service for dinner!

Have a great trip.

In June we go to early entry park - don't be late and use fast pass. Go go go in the morning. we break for lunch or as soon as the lines get long. we swim take naps go to an early sit down dinner and go slow in the evening.

It works and we have tons of fun!!! Don't plan on anything but parades and fireworks in the evening and your trip will be great.

We too go often but we always go on the big rides every time - never had a problem doing the main attractions.

I just love Disney in the summer. The crowds are large but the parks are open late so you can nap in the afternoon and be ready for a fun night.

Also - bring fans or misty mates.
