Can you explain what the Fuel Rods are? Is this something that Disney is offering?

A fuel rod is a small battery about the size of a roll of quarters. It comes with a charging cable that plugs into the battery and your phone. It was able to charge my iphone from 0 to almost full before going dead itself. Once it was unable to charge anymore, I went back to the machine and performed the swap function. (Insert an old rod and a new fully charged one is dispensed). The swap is free. You can also recharge the rod yourself if you are so inclined. (Useful after leaving the parks) The rods are available at vending machines at the parks. I am only aware of the 1 location at MK. (Space Mtn Gift ship) though I'd bet there are more. http://www.fuel-rod.com/

I should have just given in and bought one on my last trip. My darn phone kept dying since MDE uses a lot of juice.

Oh well - we'll most likely be carrying around our own for our next trip and its easy enough to charge overnight. Just have to buy my family a couple more for our various devices!

I totally agree about BOG pre-ordering. What I didn't know (even after reading so much about it!) is that you can pre-order up to about 10 mins before your ADR. I didn't do the pre-ordering last trip because I was traveling with a friend who already I thought I was crazy about ADRs and FP+s. She would have about lost her mind if I asked her to pre-order! But the line was awful - very hot and very long. Never again.
