My family of 4 and my sister's family of 3 are booking separately with Free Dining and staying at 2 different rooms. However, we reserved a table of 7 for most of our dining plan. Are they going to charge us 18% tips automatically? I am not sure how it works because I charge my credits using my room key and my sis will charge her credits using her room key. It's truly at table of 4 and a table of 3 rights? Sorry it's my first time at wdw.

OT: I have called to Disney to verify but I never seem to have the consistent answers. Not just for dining, but also for parking. My question was whether I would be charged parking at the Theme parks or water parks? The answer was No (first time called) and Yes (second time called). What is the correct answer?

We were just there 2 weeks ago and also last year and would rather drive then take the crowded bus. If you are booked in a Disney Resort you will be given a slip to put in your window that is also for parking at the resort and that will get you free parking (now $11 a day tp park), at the booth they will just waive you by with that pass. We also have AAA and had a diamond parking pass and that got us a spot closer to the park enterance. If you do not belong to AAA you can buy one on e-bay for about 1-2 dollars now. Hate them buses but at the Magic Kingdom you have to park at the transportation center and take the momorail or boat to eh enterance whereas the resort buss bypasses that and gets you closed to the enterance so when going to the MK may want to take the bus. Have a great trip and we will be back last week in Sept. alsodriving a rent-a car to the parks and water parks. At the water parks ther is no booth to collect a parking fee.

Great, so Disney resort guests can park free at all Theme/Water parks. Do you need to book your travel through AAA to get the Diamond parking pass? If I have AAA but don't book through AAA, would I be able to get the preferred parking space by showing them my AAA card? Thanks a lot!

The answer to the tip question is "yes" you will automatically have 18% added to your bill. If you had booked two dining reservations then you would not have the grat. added but since you booked 1 reservation for 7 people then it will be added. You will both present your room keys when it is time to pay for your dinner. The CM will subtract the table service meals from each "room" but will present a bill for gratuities and any extra's you may have ordered that is not cover on DDP (appetizers, alcohol etc).

You will park for free since you are a resort guest. I believe you have to purchase your package with AAA for the diamond pass but I am not 100% on that one! AS the previous poster mentioned you can get them on Ebay if you wish to get one!! ;)

Only AAA members who book their package through AAA will get the passes!!

Thanks a lot for all the answers. I know that I could count on our Dis'ers more than I can count on the answers from Disney :-)

We had Diamond Parking Passes last Sep and never used them...there was great parking everywhere.
