Hello!! I absolutely love reading all of the Dining Reports here. I've always wanted to attempt one, but haven't so far after several trips. Could some of you veteran reporters please give me a few tips/tricks? A couple of questions I have specifically are:

How do you keep up with what happened on which day? Do you keep a journal/notebook to take notes in, or just make memos on your phone?

What is the best way to upload pictures? Is there a way to do it without signing up for a paid service?

This trip will just be DH and I, so I think it may be easier to attempt it this time. We will be home Aug 25-Sept 1 and have the DDP for the first time so we are making most of our plans around the food, lol!! Thanks in advance for any advice!

Take photos (even some you don't use in the update) For me, I don't take notes/memos - I just take a lot photos as that helps me remember.

I upload through imgur.com It is free and has been stable for a long time. It isn't a popular one for us on this board but it makes it really easy to upload the photos in the size I want and hosts no matter how many hits it takes.

Glad to hear you are thinking about doing a report. They are a great way to keep your trip going :-)

For me I take very brief notes in my phone so I recall what we thought about our meals. Its often several months before I get to writing about it so that helps. I usually type it up at night or on transportation so I'm not one of those annoying peeps on my phone during a meal

You can upload up to 10 pictures direct to the boards so you don' have to use another service if you don't want to. I use photo bucket, but its a paid subscription

Great thread OP. I have enjoyed the reports here soooo much and am also contemplating a dining report. I have done a few others, Disneyland, WDW, and DVC, but not dining. There are pretty terrific reports to live up to! @kastoney 's are my favorite!

I take notes in my phone, I usually put in what we’re eating while we're at the restaurant then add in our opinion when we’re back in the room on a break or for the night.

I expanded on them a little after we got home this time so I had more detail to go off of. But it’s usually pretty easy to remember from pictures alone. I also take pictures of everything we eat.

I use Imgur for my pictures because it’s free and easy to use. I used to use Photobucket before they started charging and this was the most similar (yet improved) one I found. And if it’s under 10 pictures you can upload here, although if you want to resize them a site like Imgur can do that automatically.
