Tips on getting a Surprise in the room for a Celebration?

Staying at BCV in Oct and are celebrating a Birthday and anniversary in the same trip! I have heard that sometimes the Hotel acknowledges things like this with a small token brought to the room.

The B-day is My sisters the anniversary is hers as well. They are staying in a different room from us and i was hoping that it could be a surprise.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can help to make this happen?

There is no guarantee, but just mention the celebrations to the CW at check-in. I have received balloons and autographed pictures of Mickey and Minnie twice - the first time when my best friend and I spent 6 days at VWL to celebrate 50 years of friendship, and the second time was a birthday trip at VWL with my family. The first time we received WL balloons and the second time it was a mylar Mickey. If you want something more elaborate you may have to make the arrangements yourself.

While staying at DVC, I have never even received a card and we were celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary and a birthday. So, please do not count on it and we didn't and therefore were not disappointed. We did stay at the GF before DVC and celebrated DD's birthday and they had a cake, cards, balloons and even had the table set, what a wonderful suprise..

I have always told them about b'days and at BW rec'd a card and something else that I can't remember (two b'days at the same time and two cards), at AKL a card, and at OKW a card and balloons (again, two birthdays, so maybe that's why the balloons with the card?).

Anyway - I think there is opportunity for them to forget, so just make sure it's noted at check in. I think I also had DVC MS note it in the ressie.
