We are sailing on teh Dream on May1st and are planning to stay 2 nights at Vero before this. What can you tell me??? I promise to be a sponge. LOL!!! How is the character breakfast? Do you pay for meals a la carte> We will have a vehicle so what do you rec'd in the area? THANKS!!!

Vero is a nice resort, but the eating options are limited. They do have two table service restaurant, actually one with two different menus.

We did not do a character breakfast, but we did do the pirate dinner, which had Donald and Goofy walking around. You will not see the "Big Cheese" there, at least we didn't. (maybe one of the VBR owners can say whether they ever saw him there) The food for the pirate night was the same boring Bar-B-Q stuff that Disney usually serves at these things. The food at Shutters on a "normal" night is much better.

If you have a car, there are some really good restaurants on U.S. 1, a few minutes drive. One we really liked is Mo Bay. We found them on restaurant.com and they had a gift certificate (coupon) you could buy. It's a little place, but the food was excellent. They server Jamacian Fare.

Other than that, the pool is really nice, more of an attraction than the beach, IMO. They have activities throughout the day. The campfire was fun and DD seemed to enjoy the unbirthday party.

I hope you enjoy your trip!
