How early to wait?

What are the best questions you've heard for Crush?

When is the best time to go (first thing in the AM) or in the afternoon when crowds are higher for rides? Does it make a difference which show you go to?

10 minutes early should be fine.

Best questions for Crush? Can he outswim a shark?

No real best time but of course earlier and later the wait is less. On the other hand, the rest of the Disney Animation building has lots of cool things to do and we always seem to spend 90 minutes there. So we tend to go mid-day when it is hot out so we can cool off.

I've heard several pretty funny questions but it really depends on what Crush gives as an answer as it varies from show to show. A few I've heard that got laughs.

Where to you go to the bathroom? (Crush may expel bubbles)

Why are you naked?

What is your last name? (Crush is often stumped as he has no official last name)

Before you find a seat get your kids down front on a "Lilly Pad". The kids in the front of the "aquarium" get a lot of attention. But it does appear that Crush can see the entire room.
As for questions? Art Linkletter had it right so many years ago, kids say and asked the darness' things. I won't quote there but I sure was tempted.
My Grandson (7 yrs. old) was asked how he got there? And he replied "My Dad dropped me off". Of course he was not alone, we (the Grandparents, the Uncle and his little Brother were all there)...but it sounded like he was just dropped off at the curb, and alone. The audience roared with laughter and we thought for sure security would be meeting us at the door... :tink:

A little girl asked him what is his favorite song and he said Cha...I"m a turtle...after a short pause there were bubbles ad he sang Oops..I did it again...(Brittany Spears song!)
I agree, no matter what the question, Crush is lightening fast with quick comeback humor and wit!

you've gotten some good info on crush so I'll address playhouse disney... my one tip would be to get there a bit early and when you enter the theater go all the way across to the other side so you, the adults, can sit on the padded bench and let your kids sit right in front of you about halfway back from the stage. The view right in front is not that great because its just too close. This way, you're comfortable (that floor gets really, really hard really, really fast) and your child is close to you and can also stand up to see or dance or whatever without bothering others.

When we went to Crush there was an oddly high number of Utahn's there. Crush found that pretty entertaining and kept asking if we knew each other. Also, a kid got the mic and said "where do you uhh...uh...uhhh....crap" Cuz he forgot what he was going to say. Crush did as the PP said and released some bubbles and looked around. Pretty funny!

Playhouse Disney was so much fun. I didn't see the benches! I sat on the floor which was fine, but we were on the furthest side from where you enter and it was, indeed, too close to the stage. So scoot back!!

For Crush.... We have been several times and enjoyed all but one.

The one time it wasn't much fun, was when there were only about 10 - 15 people in the entire audience. The few kids on the lily pads were extremely shy. Crush worked hard to get the flow going but it was hopeless.

Now we only go in when there is at least enough people to fill half of the room.

It's amazing how witty Crush's come-backs can be.

Haven't been to the Disney Playhouse, so can't help there.

Haven't done Crush yet. Playhouse Disney we stumbled on by mistake last time. We ate lunch nearby and were looking at what we wanted to do next and saw it was supposed to start in a few minutes so we hurried over and got there just in time. We ended up on the floor not far from the door. Wasn't packed at all but the bench in the back was full. It was a very good show and DD loved it.

Crush runs every half hour on the half hour: 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, etc.

It is not necessary to get there more than about 15 minutes early. You can show up 5 minutes before the show and get in.

Questions:

1 Where is Dory? If asked early in the show, Dory will show up and show you how to call a whale. A whale shows up and pins her to the glass.

2 Ask him to name his 64 kids. Kaneau, Leanardo, Donatello, Rapheal, Michealangelo, Larry, Moe, Curley, Ringo, Crush Jr., etc.

3 Ask about the people eating "Yellow Whales" in Disneyland. (Finding Nemo Subs)

4 Ask him to sing his Birthday song.

5 Any current event..... He is usually quick and funny.

DS surprised me by raising his hand last time we were to the show (he usually likes to just sit back and watch). He asked Crush what his Dad's name was. Crush just looked at him with a blank stare for a bit and then finally came back with "ummm...Mr. Crush." LOL - I got the feeling that DS stumped him on that one. If not, it was still cute :rotfl2:
