This isn't actually for a Disney trip but you guys are so good, I had to come here for advice!

I'm going to New Orleans in July (scary), which is going to be hot hot hot but the rates were great and I won't be able to go in the fall. I'm from Orlando and lived in NOLA years ago so I know about hot and humid lol. Thing is, I avoid the summer heat by keeping my pasty behind indoors (thank you treadmills!).

I'm traveling with somebody who has never been so he'll want to see the sites, it's also a complete surprise! I'm letting him find out when they announce the flight at the gate! So I have to plan heat mitigation by myself!!

Here is my list so far:
-SPF hat for him (I have a million)
-Hydro flask insulated water bottles
-misty fan
-I will bring a collapsable parasol, he'll think I'm ridiculous

And that's all I got. I thought about Frogg Toggs but I worry that I'll end up with a slimy hot towel for most of the day.

We'll head out in am and then break after lunch for pool at the hotel or indoor stuff like WWII museum or harrahs. Then enjoy nightlife and ghost tours after the afternoon high heat.
