Anyone have any good tips for sore feet and muscle. Does walmart or any pharmacy sell something to put in your bath water.

I'm staying at POP and don't have a hot tub to soak in. I was looking for something to maybe to use in my bath water ?

Any suggestions?

I discovered that if I wear the Hanes Sport socks that wick about moisure my feet don't get tired!. Also over at Fort Wilderness campground in front the restaraunt there are foot massagers!

I fell in love with a foot massager at Brookstones and just the other day I told DH Disney needs to put these in at the resorts. I would pay to use them. I used it at the Brookstones in Las Vegas for just 10 minutes and man I could feel the difference!

I use Johnsons foot soap.It says right on the box for sore feet.I like that better than Epson salt. You could use both. One day use Epson salt and next day use Johnsons foot soap. The johnsons foot soap comes in box with 4 packets.I would use both and see what you like better.

I know it sounds counter intuitive but the best relief for tired feet is cold, not hot. Keep an icepack in the freezer or get a plastic bag and fill it with ice. Cover it with something soft, like a washcloth and ice your feet 5 minutes on, 2 minutes off. After about 15 minutes, your feet will be good as new.

We each pack a golf ball (we used to only take one but everyone wanted to use it at the same time) for massaging feet.

In the past we've taken Ben Gay vanishing scent and would rub on our feet after our showers at night.

Now we use biofreeze instead of the ben gay. I got it on ebay in little single packets.

Thanks guys. I have 5 weeks left and I started my packing list. I get so sore I will try all of these suggestions!!!

I'm another fan of peppermint lotion! Many brands out there, but Burt's Bees is available at most CVS stores and is an excellent brand. The Body Shop used to have one too. Excellent! :worship:

Hmmmm....the icing sounds interesting, I may try that.

I have used hot bath soaks, Burt's Bees had a therapeutic muscle soak or something that seemed to work. I haven't tried the Johnson's foot soap.

I have also used Ben Gay vanishing scent. I am 46 and hate the usual smell, but the vanishing scent really isn't too bad. DH only noticed it once out of 7 nights!:love2:

I found the Ben gay to help me more than peppermint lotions.

Good luck!

I wrecked both ankles last summer, and spent a LOOOONG time with very sore feet/ankles (still have some issues). I got a trigger wheel - this little hard smooth wheel on the end of a handle - that I use to work out the knots that form in the muscles and ligaments around my ankles. It does an AMAZING job.

I also second the golf ball (a tennis ball works too) - rolling that under your foot, with firm pressure, really does make a difference.
