Hi there...we have been to Universal 2 times prior and are doing a quick Universal trip prior to leaving on a cruise.

We will arrive around 11am in Orlando on Thurs. 7/27 and will be staying at the HRH from Thurs-Saturday morning.

We have the 2 park/2 day tickets so plan on doing the parks Thurs after checking in/evening and then all day Friday.

Our sons are 6 and 11 and it has been about 3 years since we visited Universal.

Any tips to make sure we see what we want.....places to eat at either the hotels or City Walk.

Thanks!!!!

Are you staying onsite? If you are, then you can see and do everything @ both parks with no problems. My daughter,12, loves both parks. The Hulk is a
favorite-hers and hubbies not mine. Spiderman is a must.MIB is the greatest. We love Popeye's but you'll get soaked. If you don't like water, avoid it. I guess that as I write this, I realize that we love it all-even Seussland 1 fish ,2 fish and the Cat in the Hat!
We are not particular about where we eat-just eat @ the nearest restaurant when we're hungry.
I hope that ya'll will enjoy Universal as much as we do!

Staying at HRH is cool! :cool1: The hotel express will get you on/in to everything so there's no need to commando tour. In the last 3 years I think Shrek, Jimmy Nuetron and Mummy are new at Universal. Eat the breakfast buffet at HRH's Kitchen.

I second the vote for the Kitchen, although I have never been for the b'fast buffet. We have been for lunch and dinner. Yum!

Do check out the revamped Suess Landing.

Hmmmm, I assume you are from NJ.
You'll have plenty of time to see everything because the parks stay open until 10pm while you are there in July. You will get to see fireworks each night. So even though you are checking in late your first day, you'll still get to see a lot.

I assume you are taking a limo ride from the airport to the hotel. If so, then ask about stopping on the way at a grocery store to stock a cooler. Tell the driver you want to visit the Publix north of the parks. Go in the beer isle, pick up a styrophome cooler, and stock it.

Now check into the HRH and get your magic keys. The line will be long at the desk and your room won't be ready until 4pm. No problem, just drink a few beers from the cooler. Ok, now you finally pre-checked in, and you have your magic keys, and your luggage is being held at the hotel. Cool, grab one more beer and walk over to the parks. Go on a few rides, and watch the fireworks show.

The next morning, eat doughnuts in the hotel room, head over to IOA early at 08:00am and get in line. Go in first and get some front seat rides on Hulk and Dueling Dragons. Tour the rest of the park, then come back in the afternoon when it's burning hot and visit the pool. Have a few drinks, relax, then go back at night to watch the fireworks show.

Last morning, tour a park for 2 hours, check out, head to the cruise. If the cruise leaves early, then you'll have to check out early and skip the parks.

What you're basically looking at is setting up 1.5 days of fun, which is plenty when staying onsite.
