Tips for Royal gathering

Our 30 day out is coming up this month.

I decided against Royal court tea after watching some videos and knowing my kiddo. (Side note- if you ever want an amazing unique princess dinning expirence Disneyland's princess breakfast adventure is still to this day my #1 Disney expirence and it cost less..)

But I would really like to do the Royal gathering with her. She is 8 and I'm watching her personality, likes and interests ever so slightly change. This might be our last make princesses a priority trip. Royal gathering is being offered twice on our cruise. First sea day and last sea day (7 night sailing). I got a 9am BBB for the last sea day hoping I can score a later morning royal gathering time.

Any tips and tricks? I don't care about an early PAT time so I think I am going to go straight for Royal gathering first.

The App seems very glitchy for me. It spins a lot when going to activities. The night of our activity booking it completely didn't work and I had to use my computer. Should I just plan on the computer?

Any other tips and tricks?

I thought the date you can book activities was different from the date of online check in...?

Also just FYI on our last cruise I wasn't able to book my daughter for royal gathering at first but I just kept checking about once per day and then I was able to book her.

The Royal gathering is the one activity that opens 30 days ahead of time for everyone regardless of status.

If the app is glitchy, I'd definitely do it on the computer instead, and do Royal gathering first. If you're doing the rest of the check-in stuff that day as well, it takes a while (10 minutes for my party of 4) to go thru all the steps and royal gathering could be sold out then .

My app was horrible recently. It seems to behave better since I deleted it and reinstalled it. One tip I have gotten from our travel agent with other Disney stuff was to use an incognito window in your browser, this usually gets the least messed up results.

IF you miss out, keep trying up to embarkation day. And if you're still out of luck, go straight to guest services when you board and ask to be put on the wait list.

At the very least, hopefully a couple of princesses will be doing solo meet and greets on your BBB day.
