Any tips for QS meals in the parks? Adults eating kids meals, eating a big breakfast, eating "snacks" as meals, etc.? Going in August (24 days!!) and we don't have a dining plan, trying to figure out best ways to save some money (and time) in the parks! Thanks!

Go during not peak meal times.
Use both side of the registers. Most people line up on the right side but the left is open too.
Ask for large ice water and bring your own drink flavoring.
You can get entree only if you don't like the sides and brings price down.
A lot of meals are large and can be split between two people.

Bring food to eat for breakfast in your room - or get it from a local grocery store, some deliver. Multi-task, you eat while one gets ready and vice versa..

I do not know what the policy is for getting a child's meal for an adult - but I have seen it happen.. I usually get a regular meal and split it with my daughter.

If you are taking a bag or backpack - bring snacks, pretzels, goldfish, anything small enough to carry around and but will hold you over so you don't end up eating more meals or costly in park snacks than you need which will add up quick. Some people go as far as bringing a soft sided cooler and packing sandwiches and such and leaving it in a locker til they are ready to eat.

Bring your own water bottle to refill at fountains or get free cups of water.. I also bring flavor packs to spice it up some

As PP said - use both sides of the registers, some people don't know and all line up on one side but if you walk up to the other side you will be served next even though there is a line on the other side.

Eat breakfast in your room. Get a box of cereal, some milk (keep in the fridge), and some fruit from the food court. You'll save money and time!

Ask for ice water from CS restaurants. I get a cup of water, the pour it into my refillable water bottle. No need to buy bottled water!

I bring those little "Jif to Go" peanut butter tubs from home. Toss one in my backpack in the morning, then buy either apple slices or celery for dipping. It's a filling, healthy snack. (BONUS: add raisins to the peanut butter and celery to make "ants on a log"!)

My number one hot weather QS tip, split adult meals (better selection of options IMHO) you can always order more if you still need to and it leaves you room for a snack down the road:)

We go often and have never had a dining plan. We usually have something simple in the room like cereal, oatmeal ( use coffee maker or microwave for hot water) and fruit. My kids are snackers and will usually need something, so I tend to dress them in shorts with close able pockets and tuck in small packs of nuts, granola bars, etc, we usually have a water bottle and will refill it during the day...maybe take the little drink mixes like tea or lemonade to spice it up. I have ordered a kids chicken tender meal before when I wasn't super hungry and had no issues at quick service. We usually do the nicer meals at lunch with maybe an ADR (as they are cheaper) and quick service in the evening. Good luck!

I like the reviews at the disneyfoodblog.com & looking at the menus on Allears.com. They are very helpful. Kids menu items are also listed.
