Can anyone offer some tips to find cheap airfare? I know I have seen things like checking on a certain day(tues or wed) when airfares reset. I am about 5 months out, traveling from Hartford,CT to MCO May 21-31. There will be 2 adults and one child. How much should I expect to pay? Right now at Southwest and Delta I come in right under $1000. I haven't flown anywhere in years and have no idea how much a flight should cost.
Anything would be appreciated!

I always start my search with 1 passenger. We are a family of 4 and sometimes a lower fare may be available for 2 or 3 passengers. If I enter 4, it will bump my price up to the higher fare for all 4 of us. If I search 1, then 2, then 3, etc I will find out exactly how many tix I can buy at the cheaper price. This way we only pay the higher price for 1 of us and 3 can fly at the cheaper price.

Flexibility is key. Tues and Wed usually offer cheaper fares.

You can also find cheaper fares by flying during the week rather than on a weekend, and staying over a Saturday night. Sign up for the email specials on whatever airline you are looking at flying - as an example, Delta has a Deals and Specials email that is sent by email each week. Other than that, you just have to be diligent and keep checking the website, sometimes daily.

We are also going in May and I'm checking fares daily for deals.

Good luck!
