A few years ago, we encountered the largest crowd known to man trying to get onto a boat to WL after the MNSSHP. It was absolutely awful. I'm still having nightmares about it - just kidding, a little....

So, in an effort to avoid that nightmare I want to know if it is possible for me to park at CR. Ride the monorail to MK.

When we leave, ride the monorail to CR, get in car or leave.

Or, if I cant park at CR (we are staying at FW), can I park at the TTC and use the monorail? I heard the crowd on the "resorts" monorail, that also stops at the TTC isnt nearly as bad.

I'm afraid the crowds in the MK parking lot would just be awful.

Thanks, I know it seems like I'm putting too much thought into this but if you knew how my husband and father drove, you'd understand. :worried:

There is a bus from the MK to the WL now, I would assume that it goes to FW as well, but I do not know that for sure.
Is there a bus from the TTC to FW, I know there use to be, you could take the resort monorail (this is generally less crowded than the express monorail) to the TTC and take the bus to FW.
Or you can do what we do, hang back a bit after MVMCP, get an ice cream or a snack and sit and wait for the crowds to filter out.

Since you are staying at FW, I wouldn't drive.

Yes, there now is a bus to WL from MK. Since they started this route, the TTC bus to WL is not operating.

To get back, walk over to the CR (10 minutes) and take the FW boat from there,

Actually, you can combine the two. As you are walking to the CR, you can check how many people are waiting for the WL bus. If too many, continue to the CR.

The best tip that I have is to adjust your expectations and attitude. Leaving MVMCP at the end is going to be crowded - accept it.

If you know it's going to be crowded, expect to have to wait and tell yourself it doesn't matter if you get back to your room an hour or so later - does it relly matter?

Do as hellnk suggests - just sit down a while and let the "gotta get back asap" folks go by. Then make your way slowly to the ferry or monorail or whatever bus you need to take. You may be surprised that this method doesn't get you back all that much later than if you rushed and got into the initial crush. You certainly be a lot less stressed out!

Best wishes -

As a frequent guest of the CR, please do not park at the CR for MVMCP...it's not fair to those staying there. I've had a hard time finding parking there many days and nights.

Take the bus or boat.

Have not been to MVMCP yet (will be going in a few days), but we have been to MNSSHP several times over the last few years. We drove in both times and parked at the MK. Interestingly, when we were finished shopping, etc., one year we were the ONLY people on the tram to the parking lot. We did not have to wait in any lines, etc., to get out and back to our resort. If you can possibly drive in and park at MK, that would probably be best, as you can leave at your leisure and do not have to fight your way onto a bus.
