First time post! I have been with my GF for over 3 years and I am going to pop the question on our Disney trip in Sept. She is just a big of Disney fan as I am, so I could not think of a better place to tell the women I love, that I want to spend the rest of my life with her in the most magical place on earth! Looking for tips on WHERE,WHEN and just some ideas on the big question.

My cousin was proposed to in the rose garden, which I outside of the castle. Very beautiful, somewhat intimate (rather than in Main Street which is very crowded all the time) great photo op. Good luck!!

Very exciting! I will tell you what my husband did, which I thought was really special. We had a breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace at MK for 8:30, and the park didn't open until 9 that day. They will let you in before park opening if you have an earlier reservation. We got there early, around 8, and my then-boyfriend suggested that we walk up to the castle to take some pictures, since there were very few other people in the park. Little did I know he was planning to propose. We got some great pictures in front of the castle, with no one else in them! That never happens! There was also a photo pass photographer nearby, so we had some pictures taken by him too. (Which he then followed up by telling us about his divorce.... um, awkward.... something to laugh about at least!)

He was planning to propose after breakfast, but since we had some extra time before our ADR, he decided to do it right away when we got there. He had also thought about doing it at MVMCP later in the week, but didn't want to have to worry about hiding the ring all week. Just a few thoughts he had when deciding.

Good luck and congrats!

I was thinking by the castle or we have ADR @ CG durring wishes and I know they have some sort of engagement package I need to look into.

get up close to the castle and after wishes when the lights come back up have the ring out and bam!!!!!!!!:cool1:

My fiancé (still getting used to that!) proposed to me two weeks ago today at the Wishing Well by the castle around half an hour before park closing. There was no one around when he did it and only a few people walking by after so it was really intimate :) He asked me to make a wish then got down on one knee. I wouldn't have liked him to have done it in a really public place so it was perfect!

He had been planning to do it at dinner in Be Our Guest a few hours earlier, next to he else on display, but didn't get the right moment. He had also considered the Wishes viewing deck in California Grill, but that was 10 days into the trip and he didn't want to wait that long!

I think it depends a little bit on the kind of person your girlfriend is, as to whether she would prefer a more private or public spot.
