Tips for early morning ADR

New poster here. I have been hunting and hunting for a Crystal Palace ADR before park opens and just scored an 8:05 for our first day of our first ever trip to Disney for our family of 6 . We are staying off site at Hilton Sea World. Can anyone give me some tips on how to make sure we arrive on time? Plus, what's the chances of making it to 7DMT before rope drop?

Welcome! I would love to help, but I don't know enough about staying off property to answer your questions. The first thing that I would want to know is what time the toll plaza opens so you can get parked and transported to the MK in time for your ADR. I hope someone with more knowledge and/or experience can help. Happy planning!

Great job! We scored BOG on our first day at 8:10.... Should be great! I do know CP can be pretty quick if you want it to be. The food is really great there as well.... we have another early morning ADR there later in our trip.

You want to be at the MK gate NO LATER than 7:30. Since you will have to park at the TTC and take transport over from there, I would be there no later than 6:45 AM.

Thank you! I read somewhere else about the toll entrance having an opening time. I think I'll call someone tomorrow to find out some more info about the toll.

Regarding getting to 7DMT early ask for the check ASAP. We sometimes have had to wait to get the check at CP.

-Get there EARLY. They usually start letting people into MK between 7:40-7:45a if you have a pre park opening ADR. You have to think about time it will take to park and get over to MK, so the earlier you get there, the better.
- TTC lot typically opens about 2 hours before MK opens. So, if MK opens at 9, the lot will open about 7am. Buses and such start running around 6:30am, so you might find it opening earlier and in line with when the buses run.
-Ever since the A&E M&G issues, MK has been doing rope drop early. It's about 8:45am when they start letting in regular guests.
-We usually finish between 9am and 9:15am when we've had the 8:05am ADR slot at Crystal Palace.
-Just my thought, but if you're paying for a TS character meal...while you certainly don't want to linger forever, it's a waste of $ to rush through just to get back out by 8:45am.
-If you're there when they are offering paid early morning entry for MK, there are already going to be people back there at park opening riding SDMT
-Parades and fireworks time may be your best bet for a shorter line at SDMT.
-Even if you go to SDMT right when the park opens, stand by builds insanely fast. We had 9:15am FPs, but breezed by around 8:55am to see what standby looked like and it was already 120 min.

thank you! This morning MK opens at 9 and there are no EMH nor the Special "fantasy land" breakfast new deal (I forgot the name). Sounds like I shouldn't rush but not doddle. Mostly wanting the experience of walking through Main Street and seeing the Castle with no crowds, 7DMT with a short wait would be a super bonus. Thanks again!

We have always enjoyed our PPO breakfasts at CP. I know that it is tempting to "eat and run" but I suggest you enjoy this meal! The characters are cute, the food is good.
