Tips for 4 year old's first trip to WDW

Last spring break we took our 3 kiddo's sons ages 5&6 and daughter was 3 at the time...I have two big tips...#1. Tourguide mike, take the time, read, plan follow it...nothing makes kids happier than avoiding long lines! We went during spring break, peak attendance, and didn't wait more than 15 min in any line...rope drop is the only way to go! and #2. Invest in a child sized camelsbak (its a backpack/hydration pack) fill it with water, it has a pocket for a few small snacks, and our kids were able to put their autograph books in them too! They stayed hydrated, and if they were hungry theyd eat their snack, they stayed happy!

Enjoy, its all magical!

What about taking a 4 year old to Hoop De Do? We love it - but aren't sure for him?

We are also taking a 4.25 Y/O in December - When we road trip we normally bring our wagon and our son sleeps when he needs to - but I havent quite figured out how to get it to disney - nevermind getting it on the bus as we park hop - I just thing its going to have to stay home - Im still thinking about it though . . .

We took our almost 4 year old niece for her very first trip to WDW Oct 06.

She loved the character breakfasts (picky eater so breakfast worked out better and she wasnt as cranky) but was very scared of Goofy because he came up behind her and being as tall as he is freaked her out.

She loved MNSSHP but wouldnt go into the HM. She was all set to go in but when the CMs were at the entrance they freaked her out.

She loved everything about MK and Epcot, she did all the big rides like Soarin and BTRR.

Fireworks scared the life out of her. We were so close to them and the noise was so loud she cried until we moved way down Main Street to the exit...then she was ok.

We were up early and got alot done but by 5pm she was ready for dinner and chill out time. She had a blast at DTD and the arcade at our resort.

She loved getting character signatures and pressed pennies, it was like a game to her...see how many she could collect.

To this day, almost 2 years later, she still talks about that trip and cannot wait until she goes again.....little does she know DH and I are giving her and her sister a trip back to WDW for her Xmas gift.

Have a great time and let the little one set the pace.
