Has anyone stayed at CBR recently? We will be going in Oct. (Me,DH and DD( 3rd birthday ::MinnieMo !!) Any info. on best room location, food court, etc. would be appreciated!!!

I really enjoy CBR and I wil be there in less than two weeks Yeah! I really like the location of Jamaica (bldg 44 is my favorite) Aruba is a close second for me. They are across the lake from the main pool and food court (about 5 minute walk.)

Also check out the CBR FAQ II that safetymom has (it is at the top of this page with all of the other resorts.)

Both times we have been to WDW we stayed at CBR, I love it. Our first trip we stayed in Trinidad South...do not stay here....great rooms bad location, at least a 15 minute walk to get anywhere. The last time we went we stayed in Aruba, it was great only a short walk across the lake.

We stayed at CBR twice and loved it. Both times we stayed in building 44. I requested 44 the second year. The first year we had a view of the pool and second year we had a garden/courtyard view which I liked more than the pool. I recommend building 44. Its not far from the food court/main pool area. Maybe 5-6 min walk. Bus transportation is good too. Jamaica is ususlly first to drop off/pick up too.

CBR is where my family and I stayed last week

WE LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in Martinque bldg 25. looking right out at the lake and a very quick walk to the food and shop. Even staying that close we heard no noise from outside guests, and all the CM'S there are friendly and helpful. Make sure to eat at Shutters atleast once, this was some really good food and only cost 1 ts credit if you're on the plan. If you have a drink at the pool side cabana make sure to tell the bartender that one of the guys from the NFL opener says hi....lol, she makes some mean drinks. She made me a 151 and coke that was great.

Now some other tips I would share are...do the little rat racers on the lake. My son and I had a blast taking 1 for a spin for while wife and baby rested. Also ask when the arcade is going to be free. This is a fun arcade that is free every so often for about an hour, otherwise you do have to pay to play. And another tip is don't worry about not packing enough, the store has everything you could need and very fair priced.

one word of advice...watch out for the lizards...lol, at least near Martinque they were EVERYWHERE, thousands of them, but if you have sons like my son and I there is hours of entertainment built in for you.

You will have a great time at CBR. To learn more about the resort I suggest reading the FAQ's listed below. I also have lots of photos of the resort also.

CBR is a gorgeous, wonderful resort! :flower:

I have not been there recently, but I do have some pictures and comments and info from my trips, on my web site. The link is below. Be sure to click on the "CBR" link from the 2001 trip, and also below that, click on the big CBR logo which has pictures and info from my 2002 trip. Enjoy!! :sunny:

Foolish mortal -

What kind of stuff do they have? I'm driving myself crazy, wondering what to pack! Do they have stuff like band aids and tylenol, or snacks, or flip flops or ???

Thanks! We leave in 10 days!!!

They have all of that and more. But if you need something there are Super Wal Marts and a Super Target that would be more reasonable close to CBR.

Thanks, safetymom!

We won't be renting a car so I either have to bring it with me, buy it there or do without! We'd rather spend the car rental $$ on having fun, and a few extra dollars on something like extra bandaids (we couldn't *possibly* use more than 1 box, could we???) is not too much, compared to a few hundred for a rented minivan!

Like sm had said, they have all that and more, pop, beer ,liquor, donuts, chips, cold/flu medicine, diapers, formula, pedialyte, shoes, shirts, bags, swimwear, etc........

And if you need bandaids while in the park you can always make a quick walk to first aid.

Are the Super Wal Mart/ Target within walking distance? We will not have our own transportation while there?

The arcade is right next to the store at old port royale, you cant miss it.

it really isn't free you have to buy a card with credits on it, but twice when we walked by the people working it said come on in the games are free for a little while. Of course I worried about playing more than paying attention so I don't know if there is a certain time they do this or they just decide on the spot the next hour is free...either way it was a great hour and saved over $20.00 between all 3 of us.

No they are not within walking distance. Here are a few ideas though:

-If you take a towncar to the resort most of them include a free grocery stop
-You can always take a cab to a neaby store to pick up a few items
-You can ship some items ahead of time to your resort (I did this in January to CBR)
-You can utlize a grocery service like we go shop and they will deliver to your resort.

Wal-Mart Supercenter
3250 Vineland Road
Kissimmee, FL 34746

If you go to the Wal Mart website and put in this zip code you can print out directions from whatever hotel you are staying at.
