Any tips or ideas for a family of 4 going Sept 30/05 to Oct 9/05. I was thinking it would be nice to go to some of the resorts to see them.

You should visit the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, and especially the Yacht/Beach Club and Boardwalk hotels. Be sure to look at the pool at the Beach Club. Of course, you might not want to go back to your hotel after seeing them!!! Another idea is to go and have dinner at the hotels.

I agree with disneydiz. Some of the best restaurants are in the other resorts. You may also want to visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is one of the prettiest resorts on property.

If you like pancakes for breakfast, you cannot beat the Sweet Potato Cakes at Boatwright's Dining Hall at Port Orleans Riverside (moderate). They're so yummy that syrup is not needed.

There are many good choices for dinner. Try 'Ohana at the Polynesian; California Grill (expensive) or Concourse Steakhouse (moderate) at the Contemporary; Yachtman's Steakhouse at the Yacht Club (expensive); Jiko or Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. For a quick lunch the Yacht Club Galley has pretty good sandwiches.
