How much do you tip mousekeeping? I know the people who help with baggage typically get $1 a bag but I usually give a bit more... tho we're doing the thing where the bags "magically" appear in our room... so I"m not sure how to tip them... Do you tip the driver from the airport to the resort provided by disney?
Thanks

My kids are slobs. I left $5 a day for housekeeping.
A couple days they left surprises in the room - I meant housekeeping, not my kids. Things like animals made out of folded towels.

The bus drivers have a sign right on the front window ' name - gratutities appreciated'. They load/unload your bags onto the bus. I tipped them $5.

I think it also depends on where you stay. If mousekeeping cleans the room 2 X and 1 turndown service, and changes the sheets everyday then for a 5 night stay we will leave $40 and a pile of loose change ..If you are in a hotel in which mousekeeping visits 1X per day then I would think $5 per day is good.

We don't have kids and are pretty neat.

We are 2 very neat adults and we leave $2.00/day--maybe that's not enough.

Whatever you decide to tip, make sure you tip daily rather than at the end of the week--there may be different Mousekeepers cleaning your room on different days, and it would be a shame for them to miss out on tips while the one housekeeper got the entire tip at the end of your stay.

Our rule of thumb (where did that saying originate???) is $5.00/day base to start. If service is less than standard, we adjust from there. ;)

In my family, we have always tipped housekeeping $1 per person per day. This trip, it will be me and my bf and we are planning on $2 as a base with extra as needed.
I think there has been controversy over whether or not Disney bus drivers are allowed to be tipped. Last year, I used Mears and tipped the driver $1 for helping with my bag and I plan to do the same thing with ME if it is accepted.

I never tip bus drivers, except mears for helping with my bags when i get off the bus. I always tip limo driver if i am lucky enough to have one! LOL.

That saying originated near the time of the Salem Witch Trials. Husbands were aloud to beat there wives but the stick couldn't be thicker than his own thumb. It's true! I actually learned something this year, haha.

Well then I'd pick a husband with really small hands...

Oh, and we tipped $3/day for two people.
