Tipping with Happy Limo??

I just made reservations with Happy Limo for a Limo in Oct. The confirmation that we received broke down the charges as the following Basic rate $80.00 /Airport Sur $5.00/Gratuity $16.00 Total Due $101.00. This is for one way from MCO to HRH. The return trip was Basic Rate $80/Gratuity $16.00 Total Due =$96.00.

Since the gratuity is included in the price breakdown, then I assume I am not obligated to tip the drivers? I prefer to tip personally based on the experience. I really don't like these "built in gratuities". Am I the only that feels this way. I might not want to tip $16 each way, but I guess I have no choice in this matter. I also wonder if the driver feels like we are cheap because we aren't tipping (even though we really are in the price) Do I make any sense here?

Yes, you make plenty of sense! And no, you should not feel obligated to tip an additional amount when the tip is already included. We use Happy Limo frequently, and I have tipped an additional amount when I felt the service warranted it. But that is solely at your discretion. Personally, I like it when tips are built in because I hate doing math. But I am not a shy person, and I wouldn't hesitate to speak up if I didn't feel that the service warranted the automatic amount. That has never happened with Happy

When we used Happy limo the tip built in was $10 each way. It took about 1/2 hour at most from the airport to the hotel. I thought that was plenty but the driver looked at me like he was expecting something else. He was out of luck. I don't think that I am cheap, I just think that it was enough of a tip already and he didn't do anything that special. The return driver, well, she would probably have gotten five at most as she couldn't keep her mouth shut with somewhat racist comments (not directed at me, but it didn't matter), and she was probably lucky the tip was built in. Let them feel how they like, I'm not going to see them again and I feel they were more than fairly compensated by the tip built in.
