Okay I'm trying to figure out how much cash to bring and I want to organize my tip money.

I am planning on tipping mousekeeping $5.00 everyday and have envelopes ready for that.

I've budgeted about $20.00 sit down meal, excluding CRT because tip is included in the cost (I hope that's right)

We are driving and will probably just bring our own luggage to and from our room.

What other situation might I encounter that may need tipping????

I hope this is the right forum, I wasn't sure where to put it :)

Since you're driving and handling your own luggage, I'm not sure you'll have any other situations other than dining and mousekeeping that you'll need to tip. We fly so we have to tip the airport shuttle driver @ our home airport on both routes, the skycap, DME driver both ways, bell services if they have to take our carry-ons and bring them to us if our room isn't ready and we want to hit the parks, mousekeeping, and dining. Have a great time! :cool1:

Depending on where your TS meals are, the $20 may be a tight 15% tip. We ate at England, Japan, Kouzzina, Mama Melrose, France, and LeCellier and for our party of four every tip was over $20.

We are eating at:

Chef Mickey's
CRT - which tip is included I *think*
O'Hana's
Sci Fi
Cape May Breakfast Buffett

All meals would be 2 adults three kids. Do you think I should budget for around $25.00 per meal tip?

I would definitely budget more than $20 per meal. Most of the meals you mentioned are going to be over $100 per meal for the five of you.

P.S. On the boards they like to contain the tipping questions to the tipping thread so this thread may get moved or locked shortly. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2300858

We are eating at:

Chef Mickey's - 15% = $18, 18% = $22
CRT - which tip is included I *think* - Included
O'Hana's - 15% = $18, 18% = $22
Sci Fi - 15% = $14, 18% = $16
Cape May Breakfast Buffet - 15% = $11, 18% = $13

Seems $20-25/meal is fine :thumbsup2

For meals for your party figure the cost will be around 100-150 each. Standard tipping is somewhere between 15% and 20%. BUT, that also depends on service. IF you plan $25 per meal you should be safe.

Also, I dont know where you are staying but even though you are driving it is well worth having bell services handle your luggage as the walk to the room could be far. If you get good service from them $1or $2 per bag is appropriate.

Other than these two and housekeeping there really are no other tipping situations (unless you do a specialty cruise).

If you valet park, that is also a tipped postion (along with a parking fee).

Also, whenever we call for extras: pillows, blanket, extra towels, bed rails, and blender (DVC) -- we always tip the person bringing the extra item. Generally a couple of bucks.
