Tomorrow I am getting a massage with the Gift Certificate DH got me for Christmas. It is a hour hour full body massage at the new spa that has opened here. I have never been there before.

My question is what is an appropriate tip? 15%? And do I give the tip to her directly?

I have never gotten a massage before! I am really excited though. And I need it with all of the moving stress and tension! :)

I don't know what to tell you about tipping, but I did want to say what a nice gift that is! You'll love it :)

At the spa I've been to, they keep envelopes at the front desk for tips. You write the person's name on it and enclose the tip, and the desk people keep it for her.

I'd tip around 15%.

Enjoy!!!!

also, bring a bottle of water with you for afterwards. They may give you one, but in case they don't. You really want to drink a lot of water following one.

or if its an illigetament massage bring a cigerate for when you done ;)

Thanks for the advice Jason! ;) :)

On my brochure it says that tips are not included in Gift Certificates. So I just wanted to make sure I tip appropriately.

mtemm-Thanks for the tip about the bottled water. I will make sure to bring one! :)
