DH had a question regarding how much you tip for luggage. We always tip the person who brings our luggage to our room $20. How much do you tip the person who takes your luggage when you check into the hotel (from your care, limo or town car service)? Thanks

I think my husband tipped Bell services 5-10 when we stored our bags with them for a couple of hours...we only had one bag.

Can I deliver your bags for you on your next trip for the $20 tip? ;)

In all seriousness, I have read in several places that one dollar per bag is a fair tipping rate. Have a great trip!

I tip $1 per bag, unless it's really heavy and then I tip $2 for each heavy bag. Then I add one more dollar to the total.

So if I have two average bags and one heavy bag, I'd tip $5. $1 for each average bag, $2 for the heavy one, and then one extra dollar.

We too tip $20 to take our luggage to our room. We also tip the guy that takes it out of the town car $5-7 too.

Well, I guess if you have 20 bags, then your right on par, if not, your a good tipper!!! :earsboy: Nothing wrong with that!!! I usually have 3 bags and tip $5. It kinda stinks haveing to tip the guys at the towncar to put it on a cart and roll it to storage, but ya have too. I usually give a dollar a bag to them and a bit more when it gets to the room.

We tip

Limo driver $10 each way
Storage Bell - $5
Bell to room - $20
Airport Bell - $5-10 depending on how many bags.

We did $1 a bag, but DH felt like one bellman looked at him like, 'this is it??'. (The rest were just fine.) Maybe he was expecting that $20??!!?? :rotfl:

I usually tip $5.00. It only takes about 10 minutes to bring it up (round trip). I also tip the person who takes it out of the car and valet parks $5.00.

We do have quite a few bags - probably 10 including the carry ons. DH doesn't mind tipping the bellman who brings your bags to your room $20 but he thinks that the one who takes it to the cart from the towncar should only get about $5. Does that sound right?

huh ? i think, maybe i should be a bell-to-room dude, i mean, if i work for say 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, i could get something like 2500-3000 dollars in tips + salary from Disney.

Now thats a nice pay for transporting luggage, nice and easy money !!

We usually have 3 suitcases and a case of water. No 20 bags here! I tip $20 because with my bad back I am most appreciative for the help.
