Now that it is on my mind do I tip the mousekeeper and the mousekeeper that come sin to turn our beds down, tipping is so nerve wracking to me, I don't mind tipping but I do like to follow the rules and it seems like there are many rules. HELP? I know for the valet I pay when they get my car, I do not pay when they take it, I think I should but I do always bring them back coffee and donuts from KK for breakfast. :D

I would also like to know the answer to this question. Thanks Michelle

OMG I always tip the driver when I leave my car. I want it in a nice safe spot. I also tip when picking up.

I also need to know about the Consierge tipping rules. Do we tip the staff in the lounge. This is my first time AKL CL. HELP!!! I did make those envelopes for tipping Mousekeeping in the AM.

We tipped the Mousekeeper that did our turn down every night. She was awesome, and very appreciative ! Honestly, I think she worked as hard as anyone ! Sometimes, I feel people have already tipped the daily Mousekeeping and maybe forget about the evening people.....keep them in mind too ! Have a great week !

The CMs in Concierge must refuse a tip twice.

If you offer it a third time.............. :teeth:

We always bring a little something when we come, always clean up after ourselves when we're in the lounge, and try not to be TOO pesty.

Any cash tips that are received go into a fund and when there's enough- the staff goes out for a meal together!! I thought that was really great when they told me that........

Be sure to say hi to Don for me........ just tell him it's from his Shades of Green expert!!!

OMG i forgot they have turn down service. Do I have to ask for it? I better make more envelopes. Who else is there?? LOL I may have to get a job at WDW just to afford the tipping :)

If you're at AKL Concierge........ you won't have to ask for turn down service. They do it automatically.

We used to leave $2 for the morning housekeeper and $2 for the evening housekeeper who did the turn down. We always ended up with extra goodies....... chocolate on the pillows, soaps...... bucket of ice.......

It's our favorite!!

We stayed concierage last year at Poly and will be returning this year. The way I did it was $1 for each person staying in the room for regular housekeeping each day. There are 4 of us (myself, DH and 2 DSs). I figure they deserve more since they do the actual changing of bedding, picking up the mess, etc.

In the evening turndown service was automatic. There were 2 lovely ladies that would come in to turndown the beds and change the towels. I always left them $2. They were really great and even learned my DSs' names before we left.

Now for the valet. Speaking as someone who used to park those cars in Northern Michigan, the same person that parks your car may not be the same person to bring it back for you. I always tip when I park and tip when I come back. When I used to do valet, we would put all the money in a communal fund and divy it up at the end of the shift. Since I was the only girl, and I looked like 12 when I put my hair up, I brought back a lot of the cars. Figures! :p

We're staying concierge for the 1st time this July. I like the idea of bringing a gift for the concierge staff to enjoy. Do you all give it to them when you check in or when leave?
