I am planning to go to Saratoga spa for a massage treatment on my next trip to WDW. As this is my first professional massage, I was just wondering if it is customary to tip and if so what percentage is recommended? Thanks!

I believe it would be customary to tip. I have had professional massages before and usually tip 18%. Hopefully I'm correct on this one :).

Regardless of the price or duration, I tip $10 for massages. Unless it's a couples massage, then it would be $20.

I don't believe the automatically add a tip at Saratoga Springs (I looked at all the documentation I can find) like they do at the Mandara Spa over at the Dolphin (from their brochure "Service Charge An additional 20% service charge will be added for your convenience. Gratuity for exemplary service is discretional").

I generally tip 18 - 20% for spa treatments but prefer it to be my choice!

I am a massage therapist at a 5 star resort. Typically the "gratuity" or "service charge" is added - it will state this when you check in. If not, 18 - 20 % is average. You would be surprized at the small percentage the therapist recieves of the fee charged!

I get massages at home about six times a year and usually once while at Disney. I always tip 20%.
