tip question

does anyone tip door-men? Not the bell-men who assist with luggage, etc, but the gentlemen at the front door of the lobby that greet you as you come and go? They are very friendly and chat with my DD a good bit and it's great - but I never have cash on me, and it feels weird to tip someone for being nice and saying hello...but then again, I don't know the protocol on this. Any help??

Don't know the WDW rules, but most hotels, you generally tip the door man (person?) if he/she performs a service, such as calling a taxi.

Friendliness is part of the job! :)
