Tip for FP+ newbies (like me)

Those with separately linked tickets can "practice" and completely book FPs to become familiar with the system.

Please just remember to go back into your FP area and Cancel each practice FP. :)

Ok, about to do FP selection tomorrow am. If we only choose 1 FP at Epcot because we only want the tier 1 choices and not the tier 2, is it beneficial to make 2 other selections even though we don't really want those rides, or will we eventually be able to get additional FP at the park? I'm wondering if we will be able to make any more tier 2 selections that day at all.

@katiz ~ the FP system does leave your day's allotment open to book your 2 Tier 2s. If you have an idea of what Tier 2s you'd like, you should pre-book them.

Did I hear that it was better to book your FP from the end of your trip to the beginning to better ensure getting the popular FP you want?

Yes. Some book their highest priority FP for each park day and then go in and complete their booking allotment for each day.

When booking a FP+ will the system stop me from overlapping with a booked ADR? If Yes, how long before or after an ADR is the restriction? I plan to book our FPs in the late am and early afternoon (around lunch); wondering if the times presented will automatically work around my booked ADRs, or will I get an error, or warning, or is there is no restriction at all?

Thanks!

You won't be stopped from booking a FP. The system will warn you of an ADR but you can continue the FP booking process.

It will not stop you from overlapping an ADR. I currently have 2 FPs that overlap an ADR...just assuming I will be done with the ride in time to get to the restaurant. :thumbsup2

Thank you ... that's good.

I'm also planning on ovelaping times, should the need arise.

Cheers!

Was so worried I wouldn't be able to book my Fast Passes this morning but I got right in, it took a half hour, and we got all of our choices. Smooth!

Congrats!

Just tried a few practice runs ... it was easier than I thought it would be.

Looking forward to the real thing in the next few days.
