Tip: Don't be fooled by $5 tickets!!

We purchased online tickets for Seaworld a few days before the $5 child ticket was offered. Disappointed, I called and they were willing to refund the tickets (although it took quite a few calls to finally get the refund). Now we have purchased the discounted tickets online only to find out that the second day free offer IS NOT VALID for the $5 kids ticket!!!!???? What!?? Guess we won't be going back for day 2......

5.00 tickets for an Orlando theme park is a great deal for a day! Even a movie costs more.

Sorry about your disappointment. It is a great deal for one day IF you were only planning to go one day. Not so great at all if you were counting on going for two because then you're looking at spending more money than you would have to begin with.

When I called to ask about 2nd day free with these tickets, I was absolutely assured they'd be good for a 2nd day if requested at guest services even though it's not an advertised part of the promotion. Before buying them, I decided I'd feel better if I had it in writing and sent them a note asking for a written confirmation. They wouldn't confirm in writing and so I'm just going to suck it up and buy the regular tickets since our plans are dependent on that 2nd day.

Question: I have to buy 3 adult tickets for myself, DS 17 and his friend who is 18. Can I buy the 3 regular price adult tickets and then add 2 of the $5 tickets for my DD (one for each day) or is that a no no? I would like to go for two days and DD really wants to go for two days so if I can't do this then I guess I will be buying the regular tickets to get the 2nd day free. Thanks.

The kids $5 tickets are for ages 3-12 only and you are allowed to by one $5 ticket per adult ticket. I wished I had thought to by 2 for my DD when I prepurchased!! I don't see why you could not purchase 2 for the same child to use on 2 separate days!

Sea World should do a better job pointing out that the 2nd day is not available with this deal.

I heard about the deal on mousesavers, and read the details (I wanted to make sure the 2nd day would be available). It was definitely not clear - so I called Sea World directly and was told that that 2nd day was not included.

It is a good deal for anyone who is only going for one day.

Has anyone actually tried getting in the 2nd day free with these tickets? When I called Sea World I was assured they would accept them as valid for the 2nd day. I really don't CARE either way as it is still a good deal for us to go for one day, and I think we could see everything we wanted in that time. It's just that I really would like to know one way or the other since it would really affect the way we do the park the first day if we are going to be able to go back a second day. I mean, I would do the first day at a much more relaxed pace rather than my usual get my money's worth commando-style pace if I knew I was going to get in another day. So just wondered if anyone has tried yet and been denied in person.

One, do you need to purchase the $5 tickets online, or can they be purchased at the gate? Two, I know that one adult must buy a ticket to get one $5 child ticket. My problem is that I will be there solo with 2 kids. Do you think they would let my second child in for $5 (it's also her birthday)? If not, what are my chances of asking an adult walking in to "claim" my child as his/her and give them $5 to buy a ticket?

We are going to Sea World in Oct. I have to buy two adult tickets (me and my DD age 14), then I will get two children's tickets (DD age 5 and 10). I am so excited by DD10 wants to be a vet, in fact she is attending jr. vet camp this week. I think she may be more excited to go there instead of WDW, maybe.

I looked at the discount below and it really isn't a discount. The $10 or $6 off are the same prices for purchasing in advance (online). For example, an adult for SW is $68.95 on both sites.
