I love the New Scientist

Apparently tiny robots can be injected into a patient's blood flow and made to target cancerous cells whereupon they will heat to 70°C and destroy the infection, for lack of a better word. This would replace chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which damage a large number of cells, meaning that fatigue, hair loss and weakness as a side effect of cancer treatment could be a thing of the past...

Interesting, these teeny robots can also fuse blood cells, effectively making them ideal at stopping internal bleeding without a surgeon ever having to wield a knife. Cool, eh?

There's been talk about small micro machines doing this sort of thing for a while. I've also heard of electronically controlled zapping of cancer cells that's targeted towards cancer cells and not just exposing everything like what chemo or general radiation does.

Sadly I can't: the article I read is not (at least to any meaningful extent) online. It was published in the New Scientist Magazine, a weekly informative mainly published in the UK and Canada. It's a fascinating read, from the beginnings of life to the Next Big Thing!

Don't know anything about them to know if what they publish is reputable or not. Makes a BIG difference when reading online articles. Virtually everything published nowadays is available online somewhere. Some may require a paying subscription to read the articles.
