We were going to go to IOA today but last night when DD came in from the pool here feet were bleeding. She had two blisters on her big toes, which she got a few days ago when we got soaked walking around in the rain at Epcot. The blisters had started to bleed so IOA was out as I wanted to make sure DDs feet stayed dry in her sandals and there are lots of places to get wet at IOA so we took the decision to visit the Studios.
We set off after breakfast and took the I-4, which wasnt too bad. We were parked up and walking into the park just before 10am. Our first stop was a photo with Scooby Doo at the front gates. From there the kids wanted to go on the Jimmy Neutron ride. I decided to wait for them at the Cheesecake Factory and when they got back we had some cheesecake, chocolate cake and a chocolate croissant.
DH & I had a coffee but it was pretty naff so we didnt drink it. Next up DH & DD went on Terminator 3D - DS and I didnt realise how long they would be and it got a bit boring waiting for them. Shaggy and Scooby turned up while we were waiting so DS got a picture taken with them.
Both DH and DD liked Terminator and said they would do it again. DD got a frozen lemonade when she got out and promptly got brain freeze drinking it although the brain freeze didnt stop her from finishing the lot. We were going to do the pet show but one was already on so we stopped for a picture with Alex and the penguins from Madagascar. DD and DH did ET while DS went into the near by play area. We also had a look at Curious George playground, which looks great fun - especially the ton of water that periodically drops on unsuspecting people below.
We didnt want DD to get wet today so we avoided this area until the next time we come. It was now time for the pet show and it was as good as ever. There was one incident at the start. A wild cat (possibly an Ocelot) is supposed to come out and run across the stage. Well he came out and spotted something in the bushes. He was staring it out and wouldnt move, the trainer realised all was not well and tried to coax him back in but he was having none of it. The trainer went back in to get the kitty box to put the cat in but just has he got close the cat pounced into the bushes and ran off behind the stage with some sort of large ish bird in his mouth. (It looked about the size of a duck). I certainty dont think that was meant to be part of the show
The rest of the performance went off without further incident.
We were all feeling the heat by now and were getting hungry so decided to make our way out of the park. We stopped to do MIB and DH went on with the kids, they said it was great so I went on with them and it was much better than Buzz at MK. DS wanted to go one more time so DH went on with him. While the lads were on the first time there was a downpour but it only lasted for 10 minutes or so and cleared the air a bit.
DS wanted one last go on Jimmy Neutron so DD & I waited in the shop while he and DH went on. DD had her photo taken with Spongebob and so did DS when he eventually got out. We also got a picture with Mr & Mrs Woodie Woodpecker.
We made our way out of the park and went to Sweet Tomato for dinner. As usual it was a really nice meal and we will go back again on this trip. We needed gas so we went to the Hess station at the top of I-Drive where the gas was $2.89 a gallon. The car took $50, which was fairly good compared to at home. We needed to go to a Wal-mart as I had to replace a wine glass that I had broken, so we went to the one on the SR535. It was busy and didnt have what I wanted in stock so Ill have to try another Wal-Mart before we leave the villa. We got home about half 6 and all went straight in the pool. DH eased his aching bones in the hot tub and we stayed in the pool for about an hour. DS managed to hit his head so he wanted to come in but DH & DD stayed out for another hour. We watched some TV and went to bed around 10pm.
Tomorrow - DQ and a meet with Barry&Carron
