Well, I just found this portion of DIS and I think I will give this journaling a try...I desperately need some help and need to be accountable for how I'm eating. I would like to lose 30 pounds. All my clothes are tight, and I have no shorts that even fit me any more. ugh. :sad2: :sad2: I've been exercising consistantly for only 5 days now :banana: and hope to keep it up. To get up to date, here's what I've done so far: (I will post what the treadmill says I have done too. Who knows if calories burned are actual or even close to actual!)


mon 1 hr on treadmill 4.03 miles, 611.5 calories (treadmill reading)
tue 30 min treadmill 1.96 miles, 312.2 calories
wed 1 hr on treadmill 3.84 miles, 590 calories
thur 30 min on treadmill, 1 hour FIRM tape 2.06 miles, 260.3 calories (treadmill reading)
today 20 minutes pilates tape, 20 minutes FIRM sculpting

Now I just have to incorporate eating right too!! :coffee:
 
Hello Tink, Welcome to WISH! There are so many nice people on this board, you will gets lots of support and believe me it really helps! It sounds like you are doing great with exercise, good for you. You will get lots of good tips on good eating on this board, good luck with that. Its a challenge but it can all be done and you can do it! I hope you have a great weekend, keep us posted on your progress. :thumbsup2
 
Thanks for the reply! Here's an update on what I've done:

5/27 20 minutes Pilate tape
5/28 30 minutes treadmill 2.10 miles, 340 calories

I'm still trying to figure out if I can do this on my own, or if I need to join WW again......... :blush: :confused3
 
This morning I did the FIRM cardio blast for 45 minutes...There were some points during my workout that I really wanted to quit, but I lowered the intensity a little bit and finished the whole thing. :cool1:
 

This morning on my treadmill:

30 minutes
2.13 miles, 345 calories

Hope to do another 30 minutes tonight! :cool1:
 
This morning I did the Firm Sculpting DVD. I really love the exercise, but I need some way to figure out to eat correctly! I had to go get some new clothes tonight and nothing fit! It was really discouraging.....so after not getting any clothes I went to Costco and was so fed up with myself that i had a slice a cheese pizza....Not a way to make the pounds come off!! I signed up for June exercise challenge and I'm really looking forward to it. I just need to think positive, think positive, think positive..... :blush:
 
This morning I did Firm Cardio Blast for 45 minutes, I have to say I'm not as winded as before so that is a good thing. We will be headed out of town for 3 nights, so hopefully I'll be able to put some exercise in while we're gone. :thumbsup2
 
Hi Tink!! Welcome to WISH journals!

You're doing GREAT with the exercising! Make sure to incorporate a rest day in there too. Don't want to do too much, too fast and end up injured. It's ok to rest!!

As far as eating good, it'll come. Maybe just start out by cutting back on portion size, or adding in fruits/veggies to your day. Take small steps and before you know it, it'll be a habit.

One more thing...make sure to drink, drink, drink your water! With all that working out, you want to make sure you're hydrated.

Hi Tink, wow it sounds like you are doing great with that exercising! I agree with Kim, the food issue will come along. Sometimes you have to get one component of losing weight down and then incorporate other changes. Doing too much at once can just be counterproductive! WW might be a great idea, I am doing the program (again) and its really helping. I need the group/leader support and the weigh ins and I need the support I get here and the accountablitly of journaling in public so to speak! Keep up your good work, you are doing great!
 
Thanks for the kind encouragement! We have been out of town for 3 days and got home pretty late last night. This morning I woke up and did a 30 minute Firm Tape, and it felt pretty good. I need to research what times WW meetings are because I think I'm ready to start going :thumbsup2
 
Good luck with WW! I really think its a great program and something you can do for the rest of your life which is what this is all about! Keep up your good work with the exercising, you are doing great!
 
Yesterday morning I woke up and did a 45 minute Firm Tape, it was really hard to get through. Wasn't able to do anything this morning, but I plan on either going for a walk or walking on my treadmill tonight. It's been kinda crazy around my house, with the last week of school for my kids.....a lot of parties, end of the year things going on. Plus, my daughter fell down some stairs this past weekend while we were away and broke her wrist :sad2:, I feel so bad for her, it's really uncomfortable. Poor thing. :headache: :worried:

Well, I didn't journal all last week :confused3 ....but I did exercise 3 days out of 7. I need to be consistant though, I have finally decided to start WW today. I know the number on the scale is going to be really scary :scared1: :scared1: , but I need to start somewhere, right?
 
Well, I finally went and joined WW last week. I just really need the support and accountability of being weighed in once a week. The exercise has been great and consistant, but it's more the eating I'm having trouble with. So I went to my 1st week to weigh in and I was down 4.6 pounds! Yeah!!! :thumbsup2 I would like to lose 30 altogether, so that was a good jump start to keep me motivated.
 
OK, I'm not so good at this journaling thing......but I have been writing everything down in my WW book :thumbsup2 . I went to WW this morning and weighed in --I'm down a total of 10 pounds since I first joined! Yeah! I feel like I'm really commited this time and have been exercising consistantly and staying on program. Think positive, think positive :bitelip:
