Shame on the swapper that left it dirty and damaged:mad:
I hope she has been contacted and asked about it-and asked to help pay for the new part!!! I mean it was new! Sad that Instep wouldn't replace it free as a defect.I would add to what has been said, and ask for adults to PLEASE be adults and watch their kids!! I had assumed that most of us on the Dis were of a certain group of people that cared greatly about our kids-and about our Disney trips.I still believe we are:lovestruc Sadly, as I read on the boards about the ever growing masses of rude adults and children at the parks, I see that our swap may have had to deal with one.I am always saddened when I read about the 'adults' racing to characters(while knocking over everyone in their path) or pushing to get to the front of every line.I read the other day about a grown man racing off the boat at Tom Sawyer Island ,only to run around and gathered 5 paintbrushes before the shocked kids knew what was happening:confused: I have read about parents screaming at others while waiting for the parades, people hitting people with strollers on purpose, parents knocking over small kids as they race to be first in line...What is wrong with some people?? sad that they are this way !
Hope our future swappers are all a great and happy bunch:wizard: It's Disney after all!!!!

Yes...it is quite shocking to witness some of the behavior that goes on:eek:

I am keeping faith that the rest of the swappers are willing to put in the time and effort to keep the stroller in "new" condition. I will for sure be taking a jumbo pack of wipes with me!!!;)

Is the seat cover on this stroller able to be taken off and washed. I know that it will have to be hung to dry. I will be able to do this on our last night before handing it over to the next swapper.:)

So glad you got someone to put the new seat on, I was going to offer, but our trip isn't til june:( I was hoping you could find someone before that.

I did PM the swapper who had the stroller and she said the only issue she was aware of was the cup holders were sticky and she asked her DH to clean them before he took it to LS. But that was the only issue she seen

I'm not sure what happened....if something fell in LS those few hours it was there and landed on the back of the seat which broke it or what. It's just really really sad this happened.

BUT on the brighter side...we are on our way to getting it fixed. Poor Michael's mom though got a broken stroller and she was gracious enough to take so many things down with her for the swap. She is like my right hand girl in this swap and she basically got shafted. hopefully she will get to use it somehow.

I have been out for a few days and I am just sick over this. I can't believe "some" people do this kind of crap and then not admit or apologize for it. For it to break like that it had to have had a lot of misuse. Thank you ladies for taking care of the problem, calling and ordering a new seat and fixing the seat. I appreciate it and I promise to take care of it like my own.

I just had major issue with my big swap...same thing andn this stroller was only 3 weeks old and BOTH the boards were broken.

Sad...In less than 6 weeks, all of the strollers have been damaged.

If it stays at this rate, I won't even be able to afford to go to WDW!:scared1: I'll be fixing strollers for everyone's trips.:rotfl:

:scared1:That is crazy! You think Instep is going cheapo. I just had to have my 6 yr old refrig serviced and the guy says it will only last me ~ 6 more years! We had the same refrig my whole childhood!

Anyway, I appreciate all you do. I can only imagine the headaches.

Maddi...I just posted on the RC swap but I thought that I would send you some pixie dust and a hug on this one.
(I am still in tears:sad1:)
:hug::hug::wizard::wizard:
If there is anything I can do please let me know!;)

I just read through some of the problems on the RC swap...:scared::sad1:

Maddi, I am so sorry you have had to spend your valuable time for inconsiderate people. I do know people like that but never dreamed they would be here on the DIS. :sad2:
I will help out in anyway I can, just let me know. And again, I really appreciate all you do.:cheer2::flower3::goodvibes

GOOOOOD MORNING SWAPPERS!

Can you believe our local radio station is calling for snow flurries tonight! What is up with that Mother Nature?!?!?!

Maddi...I am sure that you have read the new sticky guidelines regarding all swaps. I am glad that this swap was to be short and sweet and that it is all but full. Hopefully nothing else will happen and we will all get our turn at using Tinkerbell.
It is a shame that this is the way the webmaster/moderators felt they had to go. It is going to affect alot of threads on the budget board.:sad2:

At the moment I think that it is imperitive that Parkers*Momma has a current email address and phone number for everyone.
When I questioned the moderator about still PMing people in an existing swap it was strongly suggested not to. That all communication should be done via email or phone.

So, with all the changes going on....is this swap still on? If so - How should we coordinate with the swappers before and after us? What is the best way to handle communications now?

The swap is still on with whatever changes need to be made to abide by the new DIS restrictions. Parkers*Momma will be on the boards later today when she gets home from work. Don't worry!

Hi everyone, this will be my only night to sign on and give everyone an update because DH's phone isn't working as a modem and it's $10/day to use the internet.

I received a text message from NJZiggy before I left for Disney and she told me that the seat back was broken on the Tinkerbelle already! The top part of the seat back snapped (the board underneath) and it was flopping, and uncomfortable for DS if used in the upright position. We just kept it reclined and DS was fine with it. It was in the upright position last night for the parade and not floppy so I think it slipped behind the bottom piece enough to not move and DS was comfortably enjoying Spectromagic. To the next swapper, you may be able to find something to help support it or bring duct tape and take the seat cover off and tape the boards together tightly. DS is only 3 (not even yet) and it's snapped at his shoulders.

Weather's great, stroller moves very nicely and is pretty easy to maneuver. Storage basket is holding a 12 pack sized soft cooler and we've been able to hang our diaper bag from the handle. folds up quickly, opens easily, and fits in our Hyundai Azera rental with plenty of room.

Weather is perfect and we're all having a blast, with plenty of extra $$ for souveniers because of this swap. Maddi, thanks so much for running it. I'll be sure to put your info on the stroller before I leave. I'm getting it off my PM's now and will do it before we head out to dinner.

My aunt is enjoying RC2 as well, but as a bit of info there because I have to run now, the seat is torn. It's the left hand seat, right at the seam between the two seats. Kids are still sitting fine, but it's about a 6 inch tear. Your info isn't there either so I'll be putting it on that stroller before we hand it off to the next swapper.

I rec'ved an call at work for my dearest friend NELEP. This swap is still on, the only thing EVERYONE has to use great care with the stroller. We all have a financial investment in the stroller so it is all of our property. I ask that EXTREME care be used. Don't tighten the shoulder straps to tight, don't let let your lil one pull on the straps, please don't let them stand on the seats and backboards and use care when going over the curbs.

THIS will be a free swap. Luckily this is a short swap and if each of us use it as our very own, it should last without any problems until September. If something becomes damaged, then maybe someone would be willing to purchase and donate the broken item when you go down to use the stroller. That is totally up to each swapper. I will include in the 1st post the model number and INSTEPs phone number incase we need it. To give you an idea on what it costs to replace items...a new seat shipped to you will be around $20. It would be cheaper to take the item to Disney with you as to ship it someone would be looking at another $10 in shipping.

Does anyone have a problem with doing this? I would like to make this a free swap so we can still communicate and share vacations, make connections, update on the stroller, etc.

As I said, we ALL have an investment in the stroller. So I think the idea of making it a free swap is a good idea to stay on the boards...what do you guys think? As for the 10 days that it is open, I will simply ask someone from my other swaps to babysit the stroller.

Please tell me what you would like to do, I simply feel horrible about this and want to keep the swap going for all of the current swappers.

OMG, Parkers*momma you ROCK!:thumbsup2 I can't believe some of the stuff I read over "there"! People are literally CRAZY!
I'm in for whatever you and everyone wants to do. Just explain to me how to do it.

I'm cool too. And thankful that you organized this and glad we can stay here.

I have less than three weeks until our trip and have already made arrangements with the swappers before and after me, so I would love to be able to continue the swap. Just tell us what we need to do. I am thankful that this service is available and appreciate all your hard work and if you can't continue we'll figure something else out.
