I see that Tink's Treasures is going to be closed January 6 to March 16...is this the place where you'd race to after rope drop to be the first one there and wake up Tink? I was going to try this with the girls, but if it's the same place it'll be closed. Tink sure is gonna sleep a lot!

:sad1:

Well, bummer.

I may be starting to see the one downside to going during "off season". Too many things closed.

I just saw that too! We were going to try to wake up tink on our trip as well. Darn it - no Splash Mtn, no Minnies Country House, no Snow White, now no Tink. (I am okay with SE and we will get to see Fantasmic the day before it closes for refurb). I hope this list does not get any longer!

I read somewhere on here not so long ago that the drawer where Tinks sleeps is broken, maybe they're giving her bed a make over so that it works again!! :confused3

You literally have to be the first family to walk into the store when it opens. Your son or daughter has to ask a Cast Member if they can wake up Tinkerbell.

I read this today too. While I love the store, I'm ok with it closing. We were 2 steps from the door of the store on our last trip when a lady and her 3 teenage daughters almost ran over me and dd (then 5) to beat us in the store. One literally bumped into dd almost knocking her down. Oh well. DD- now 8- had it her list of things to do this trip. Guess that is one less stress to worry about....
But, I wish they would quit adding things to the refurb list! I know, things need repairing and I do understand that, I just hope nothing else major is added. We are very disappointed we will miss Fantasmic...

How do you wake up Tink? I've never heard about this!

Best short description I've found:

"Visit Tinkerbell's Treasures, a shop behind the castle, as soon as it opens. Inside the shop is a very special treasure box where Tinkerbell sleeps! If you are the first guest of the day to enquire, you might be lucky enough to be asked to wake her up. You’ll be told to wave a wand, say "Wake up, Tinkerbell" three times, and then you’ll hear Tink fly around the room. Of course, you probably won't manage to spot her because she's a fairy and flies pretty fast once she’s woken up, but you will see flashing lights and hear bells so you’ll know when she’s awake. You might also be given a certificate and some stickers."

Well crapola! We are going 1st week of March and I was going to let my daughter do it after CRT breakfast. She loves that store.
