Tink & Penny's August 2003 Graduation Trip - Pretrip Report **Updated June 23rd**

Well all, I know its chronically early for me to be writing my pretrip report. But I can't wait to go!! So this is my fix for now hehe

- 3rd trip to WDW (2nd time with me)

- 20th trip to WDW

My DD - age withheld at his request Mickey
- classic Disney lover
- Birthday Boy of the trip (Aug 21st)
- 19th trip to WDW

When are we going?

Aug 19th to the 27th, our longest trip in 2 years (have had several smaller, 2 or 3 night stays but last long trip was August 2001 for 2 weeks)

Where are we staying?

Corondo Springs Baby!! Why do ya think I started a thread about that place?? I love it, and I got Penny hooked on it when we went for a small trip to Disney 2 years ago! hehe!

We've requested Casitas 3 because we LOVED the feel of the Casitas when we stayed with Penny.

Did we do Fairytale Package?

Umm.....YEAH! What a great deal!! We booked a 7 night FTP from Aug 20th to the 27th for $1811 (we booked a single night for Aug19th) and saved nearly $1000 from what we were paying for rack & intending to pay for passes.

$1000 USD is a heck of a lot of money, especially when you are Canadian like me

How are we getting there?

We do have Air Canada airline tickets booked. But anyone from Canada knows that they were going through negotiations this past week to decided the fate of the airline. Talk about a stressful week!! Anyways they reached an agreement *knock on wood* that it stays that way. So we are flying.

What is this trip for?

It is celebrating Penny and my graduation from High School! Woohoo! Yay us! We've been planning this trip since we were four (I'm so not joking! )

To Do:

A list longer than the height of Tower of Terror!! But I have plenty of time.

I'll update with a rough itinerary soon (i believe i just slaughtered that spelling Oh dear! )

**UPDATE**

As of June 20th our ENTIRE trip is confirmed and paid in full! It's a very nice feeling!

I spoke with Cyprus at the CRO (thank you Cyprus!) and she made a note of our desire for a continuous stay as we have 2 ressies, one night for Aug 19th, then our FTP from the 20th to the 27th. They are both CSR Waterview so it makes sense to stay in the same room.

Thought I'd add a rough Itinerary, I'm not a total commando planner, we just have a basic idea of what we're gonna do each day

August 19th
- flight at 10:15 from Toronto
- arrive around 1pm MCO
- DD get rental car and DM, Penny & I get bags
- Check into CSR by 2:30
- SWIM & TAN!!
- Downtown Disney Marketplace for shopping
- Dinner? I want Wolfgang Puck Cafe, I'm gonna try to convince my DD, he's not sure he'll wanna eat that much after a day of travel
- Goodings to shop for breakfast stuff & snacks

August 20th
- MK baby!
- up at 6:30 - 7
- be at MK at 8:30
- opens at 9
- Triple Mountain morning Splash, Thunder, Space
- Pirates & HM
- Lunch: Columbia Harbour House
- Peter Pan, Aladdin, Winnie, Teacups
- Back to CSR to SWIM & TAN!!
- Epcot in late afternoon
- Spaceship
- Test Track
- Le Cellier: PS for 5:00
- WS, El Rio del Tempo, Maelstrom

August 21st
- Dad's b-day
- Typhoon Lagoon (his fav place mine too)
- be there 8:30, opens @ 9
- Lunch? TL or offsite
- Florida Mall
- Visit ALK as none of us have ever seen it
- Dinner: Romano's Macaroni Grille (great place! yummy!)
- Fantasia Garden's Mini-Putt

August 22nd
- AK early entry
- up at 6:00 - 6:30
- be there @ 7:30
- Kilamanjaro Safaris
- Kali River Rapids
- Walking Trails (Pangani & Maharajah)
- Chester & Hesters DinoRama (never been here)
- Dinosaur
- Lunch @ Flame Tree BBQ
- back to CSR to SWIM & TAN!!
- MK for Tan & I (E-ride night *crosses fingers for tickets*)
- PI for my parents

August 23rd
- MGM early entry
- Tania & I only
- ToT, RnRC
- Lunch @ 50's Prime Time Cafe, PS for 11:50am
- CSR to SWIM & TAN!!
- Epcot in the evening

Congratulations on your graduation..... Are you and your friend Penny going away to college and if so will you be going to the same one? You sound inseperable.

I'm going to university, but I'll be living at home not going away. Penny is taking a year off. We met at age 4, lived 2 houses down from each other, and were in the same classes at school from junior kindergarden all the way to grade 6. Then I moved about 1 1/2 hours west of where we lived. Penny and I have become even closer since I moved 6 years ago. So we've been friends 14 years this summer! We're like sisters, we can finish each others sentences. We only see each other 3 or 4 times a year, but talk on the phone everyday.

We're really looking forward to this trip!!

Speaking of which, I've gotta go fix my countdown clock
