Finally the birthday day had arrived. My baby was officially 6
I don't think I've mentioned this before but Aisling refused to have any more information about the trip, instead asking to be surprised daily with her outfits and our plans- totally NOT my child

The first night I had ironed all her outfits and hung them up. Since there is no real closet at POP, all the outfits were out in the open all week. But she wouldn't peek for a second. She really wanted to be suprised. So she didn't have any clue about birthday plans until her birthday!
Once she woke up though- it was full steam ahead. She wanted to know WHAT she was wearing and where we were going! Since we had to wake her up bright and early for the 2nd day in a row- we revealed her
3 costume changes prior to heading out for the day. She also figured out pretty quickly when she saw the Princess gown that she was heading to BBB.
We got dressed quickly and headed out. It was still dark when we left!!! (Normally a big no-no on vacation!) Aisling had a breakfast snack in the room (plan was to have actual breakfast at Main St. Bakery later on).
I am normally not a fan of socks with
Crocs but since Aisling wasn't able to break these ones in...socks it was. In fact, all of the outfits were total gambles because NOTHING got tried on ahead of time (well almost nothing- one dress did get tried on pretending that it was something I had made for the Big Give).
(there are some weird shadows in this pic...Aisling doesn't have a beard!)
The bus to MK was very quick. Aisling got stopped repeatedly by CMs and guests alike to check out her dress.
It was still relatively dark when we got off the bus. Didn't stop me from teasing Randy about his soda machines and asking if he was feeling ill again
Aaaahhhh Grand Floridian- some day I'll be able to afford you!
We hopped in line and had about a 1/2 hour wait until they let us in the park. Two things I noted during the wait 1) Disney is getting pretty lax on the check in thing because nobody made sure we had an ACTUAL ADR for anything and 2) They now make you wait until 7:50-7:55 for 8am ADRs. So that means not a ton of time to stop and take pics. We were 2nd in line so I naturally ran my family up the street so we could get a couple of shots of the castle before the crowds.
Randy and Aisling ran up to the castle ahead of me while I got two final shots (we did get a couple of PP pics....those coming up)
Every trip I forget to get a picture of this statue
I also wanted to get this shot but it's always too crowded when I remember it! But this time I sat on the ground and got it. It's now blown up and hanging in my dining room
The doors to BBB were still closed so I attempted to recreate the shot in my avatar. As you can see...it didn't quite happen
Randy and Aisling stood in line for BBB and I got a couple of last shots until it was our turn
Finally it was time for my birthday Princess to be princessed!
