Tin sign question. . .

We're cleaning out the garage and found a tin sign, abandoned by the former owners. Is there a quick and easy way to find out if it's original or a reproduction? It's advertising "Bull" Durham tobacco.

And I have no idea how to get in touch with the previous owners. They don't want to be found, let's just say.

If its original I bet I could find a buyer for you. I work in one of the renovated American Tobacco warehouses here in Durham NC. In fact there is a postcard in the lobby of our building on display that shows workers making Bull Durham tobacco. Can you take a picture of the sign and post it?
