If I am going N of I 5 ( from Newport) which exit would I take to have access to the Timon parking lot. I understand the Timon Parking lot is off of Harbor Blvd. Is the Timon lot between W Kattella Ave and W Manchester Ave if you are going N on Harbor Blvd. Is there a street address for the Timon parking lot ? What is the estimated walk time from the Timon lot to the main gate, or is there a tram ?

Thanks for your seven days until grandpa and grandma take the three grandchildren ( 2,4 &6 ) for thier first trip to Disneyland.

 :yay: :dance3:

Hopefully somebody with an AP or from California will have more info - but I don't believe Timon/Pumba is open year-round. I think it is only during Summer/peak times.

I parked there on a one day trip in June a couple of years back. I have stayed on Harbor and strolled a kid back that way in Oct... and the lot was empty,

We usually take the harbor blvd exit and turn left onto harbor- the entrance will be on your right.

Even if timon is not open, there will be someone at the ticket booth to take your money and direct you to the deck.

And yes, they do open timon during the off peak season, but usually only on weekends.

due to Disney's California Adventure's new building schedule, it may direct you to Simba lot instead of Mickey and Friends... Just a precaution cuz its a long walk to the main gates...

If you're in the northbound I-5 carpool lane you would take the Disney Way exit and sends you in the direction of the Timon parking lot entrance. The lot has a tram. This map shows you the general area.

The Pumbaa lot is distinct from Timon. I don't know that it's ever used any more.

We were there over the summer and they were doing some sort of construction on timon, so we were directed to the Pumba lot. If you have the option, I definitely recommend just driving down to the deck, as it is quite a walk. It wasn't bad on the way there, but on the way home when we were worn out and tired, it felt like we'd never get there!

You know the one time we had to park at Mickey and Friends - it wasn't as bad as expected.

Sometimes I forget what kids will find fun. The tram ride is like a park ride to them. Except for the watermelon smell it could be Hemlich's Chew-Chew train at DCA ;)

And we forgot a security blanket and I was going to go back to the parking structure to get it - after dark. I didn't end up doing it... but I would have felt a little safer as a woman walking alone going back to Mickey and Friends (it is the appearance of safety - I am not sure it is actually safer than walking down harbor alone).
